Wings n’ Things is a fantastic spot for anyone craving delicious southern-style wings and sides. We ordered the honey barbecue wings, spicy barbecue wings, Spanish rice, collard greens, coleslaw, and cornbread, and every item was a hit.
The honey barbecue wings were incredibly tangy with a sweet honey barbecue sauce that was just perfect. The spicy barbecue wings stood out with their good char flavor, tender meat, and a tangy sauce that wasn’t too spicy – definitely the better of the two, almost like buffalo wings.
The Spanish rice was well-cooked and seasoned perfectly, making it a delightful side dish. The collard greens tasted fresh and green, boiled or steamed with just the right amount of seasoning. The coleslaw had a medium tang and a fair crunch, with a mayonnaise dressing that was heavy but still enjoyable.
The star of the show, surprisingly, was the cornbread. Advertised as a must-try, it did not disappoint. It was crumbly, slightly sweet, and had a sticky, cakey texture that was delightful. The corn flavor was prominent, and it paired perfectly with the wings, even better than the Spanish rice. The cornbread was served hot, adding to the overall experience.
The restaurant was bustling with activity, both for takeout and drive-through, indicating its popularity among the locals. Despite being busy, the food arrived quickly, which was impressive.
Overall, Wings n’ Things clearly puts effort into their food, unlike many other chicken wing places. I highly recommend this place for its delicious food, quick service, and the evident care they put...
Read more#1 There’s nothing I hate more than a menu with no pictures whatsoever. There is very little illustration to show you what they actually serve here so you pretty much have to either guess or ask if they have certain things or not. A few photographed posters of food would go along way.
#2. I ordered their smallest order of wings and their pork ribs with french fries and a small order of potato salad. It’s disappointing that when you order a meal that you are not allowed to simply choose sides between potato salad, coleslaw and macaroni. All of the small sides are an extra which would be better integrated with the meal. I honestly didn’t want fries but the only rib meal I saw comes with fries. I would’ve rather have coleslaw and potato salad or macaroni salad.
#3. It’s disappointing that they do not have a free refill beverage system for fountain soda.
#4. The food tasted pretty good but was your typical “fast food“ so I read it about average. What it didn’t taste like was a home cooked rib meal which could have been solved by increasing the temperature of the meet and possibly serving it with mashed potatoes and corn along with a side of potato salad or coleslaw.
#5. Don’t bother going through the drive-through because the wait is long. This place is also next to a 7-Eleven and the drive-through gets very crowded at certain times of the week.
In order to improve this restaurant I think they should add a Coca-Cola remix machine and they should serve their food warmer similar to what you would get if you were buying from a typical...
Read moreComplaint Regarding Poor Service and Safety Concerns at Wings 'n Things
Dear Wings 'n Things Management,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the experience I had at your establishment recently. Unfortunately, the quality of service and food, as well as the overall environment, did not meet my expectations.
Firstly, the service was unacceptably slow, both inside the restaurant and at the drive-thru. Despite waiting patiently, the drive-thru worker was rude and dismissive, which added to my frustration.
Regarding the food, I was disappointed to find that the wings lacked meat and flavor. Additionally, the food was served cold, which significantly impacted my enjoyment of the meal.
Finally, I must express my concern about the safety of your location during the evening. The presence of numerous homeless individuals outside the restaurant, many of whom were aggressively demanding money, made me feel unsafe. This is not the kind of environment where customers should feel uncomfortable or threatened.
I hope that you will address these issues promptly to improve the quality of service, food, and safety at your establishment. I would appreciate a response outlining how you plan to rectify these concerns.
Thank you for your attention to...
