I'm a long time loyal Customer since Sam's Club closed "years ago" when BJ's had an excellent offer for any former Sam's Club member to establish membership @ $25. I love all the regular specials on certain products that I normally purchase so the SAVINGS are phomemanal. Additionally, most of the Associates are very courteous and professional. However I'm totally disappointed with the gross mistreatment received a couple weeks ago by 1 of the staff at Customer Services Desk + a manager named CHESLEY. They BOTH WERE VERY RUDE as well as highly unprofessional. Upon having to subsequently RETURN the large quantity of STRAWBERRIES for at least the THIRD time within 6 months due to having "gone bad" within 24 hours of purchase. The Oriental Associate (NO name tag worn) at Customer Service desk that initially assisted immediately began to "interrogate me as to when purchase was made?" Even in spite of ALREADY submitting RECEIPT to SUBSTANTIATE date, etc. NOT ONCE showing or expressing any empathy. So after receiving credit back to my cc, I then requested to address issue with Manager who was just as rude AND unprofessional! Again, NO empathy or apologies for INCONVENIENCE was ever conveyed. Upon requesting some type of compensation by explaining this is NOT THE FIRST TIME. Manager, Chesley immediately gave "pushback" stating it's NOT something that they do. When I insisted by further explaining as a retiree spending gas, time, etc. I was provided a $5 gift card with her comments: "we WON'T do this again?!" Makes one seriously consider GOING ELSEWHERE. Perhaps Costco will show far better VALUE to their members by PROVIDING QUALITY SERVICE as well as PRODUCTS. NO member should have to be subjected to blantant rudeness. Especially when submitting a VALID complaint. Chesley was totalling UNWILLING to "make me whole" as a so called "Manager" by DISPLAYING an UNFAVORABLE, nasty attitude which I should definitely NOT have encountered to begin with. DO ...
Read moreThis place is such a joke you will never save money on gas here ever no one ever has or ever will. I have to drive 20 mins to the Henrietta Bjs just to get gas because for some reason Bj's thinks it's okay to charge up to $0.30 more at at the Victor BJ's which makes it so there's nobody ever at the Victor BJ's getting gas so all the gas they have there has already gone bad because there's a quick fill up the street with cheaper gas oh and on top of it everybody from Victor goes to Henrietta so expect to wait anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour and 20 minutes So basically BJ's wants me to buy bad gas for $0.30 more a gallon if I don't want to wait in Henrietta for an obscene amount of time to get a good price. This whole place is a total rip-off not to mention they close at 9 so if you have a life make sure you don't because with BJ's you can't. It honestly feels like a four-year-old made the policies for this place. It's embarrassing angering and nauseating all at the same time. Not only will I never renew my membership here I can't wait for it to be up all it was was giving BJ's $100 for free. If you think you'll save money here you're in a Fairytale land. And as for all those reviews saying I save so much money here, those are people that never actually did the math. You'll be lucky if you break even. But don't take my word for it you drive 20 minutes to get gas and then wait 40 mins in line just to pump it then do that three times a week it gets pretty tiring. BJ's you...
Read moreOverall good experience, mostly friendly people. I visit this store approximately 3x a week as it's my ho to grocery shopping on my way home from work.
Once in a while though, your experience with a bossy-rude, and generally nasty check out person will happen, maybe because you got in her line, maybe because she just wants to ruin the stores reputation. On this day, May 26th, memorial day, this Veteran and his family were barked at! Put all of your items on the belt, the barcodes facing up won't work! She doesn't know I'm a veteran, none of them.do for that matter, but I've never been treated so poorly in my 20 year history of doing business at this store.
Sorry you had a bad day, or you maybe didn't want to be working, you know, getting paid for people buying your products in the store.
My advice will be to avoid this store employee at all costs, even switch checkout lanes if she is there. You will have a much better experience than you can imagine, unless you like feeling abused and berated.
At any rate, to the cashier in lane 8 on May 26th, at 5pm, sorry you are having a bad day. My family and my 2 year old didn't need to share your attitude towards us, but we will pray that you find some peace.
It wasn't a good day for BJS customer service today. I would give her a 0 for making me feel welcome as a customer.
Good luck store manager. If she's at a register again, I'll leave my cart and drive 15 minutes to the Greece store and...
