Based on the many times management has responded and apologized, I see the pattern of disrespect coming from this establishment. This was the worst experience we have ever had with Salvatores. We will never visit this one again, EVER. Never had a problem with any other Salvatores in Greece, Chili, Irondequoit, or the city. We even visited Salvatores in Newark, which were very nice people. I'm not sure what is wrong with the staff at this one on 352 Jefferson Road in Rochester, NY, but they definitely lost some customers. Now let me start my review. Respect goes a long way, and so is being acknowledged. We walked into this establishment on 3/21 around 9:50 pm hungry. When we walked in, we weren't acknowledged at all. There were at least 3 employees standing around. We waited about 3 minutes, and an employee came from back behind the menus on the wall and walked right past us. We both looked at each other and thought, ok, that was odd. Then we waited another two minutes and a cashier came out from the other side where the guy who ignored us went. He comes and says, "Can I help you?" We say yes we would like to order some food. He says ok, will it be takeout or dine-in? We say dine--in if we can. He's like yes sure just take a seat at one of the booths, and the bartender will come take your order. The bartender was one of the three staff members standing around when we walked in, so he knew we wanted some food. But he took his time getting to us. We sat for almost 10 minutes before he walked over very rude and said, "Here you go, and dropped the menus on the table. My fiance is a combat veteran from the Marine Corp, and his PTSD was compromised due to the fact that the interaction was very unprofessional and uncalled for. We are not looking for an apology because it seems as though you are making it your business to apologize for things that are recurring within this establishment. If you know better, you would do better, clearly. Hopefully, the next veteran who visits this establishment owned by a veteran will have a nicer experience than we did. We would not recommend this...
Read moreI am a loyal Salvatore's customer, however, this location is awful. From the rude staff, to the indifferent, unapologetic owner.
We preordered a pizza the night before for a kids birthday party. 15 minutes past the time it was supposed to arrive, I called the store only to be accused of ordering the pizza 10 minutes earlier, then when I gave the info, he simply said "out for delivery".
Pizza arrived 30 minutes late, with partially burnt crust. Not past the point of feeding the people, but discerning considering it was late. Whatever, things happen, people needed to eat.
Wife calls the store later in the afternoon to alert the staff of how late the food was and to see if they'd offer an apology or offer any coupons for future use. Nope, she got a "we only have so many ovens" comment and told to email the owner if she had further complaints.
I was ready to drop the issue prior to the call, but now I'm annoyed. I emailed the owner expressing the concerns and stated that I wasn't looking for a refund, but an apology and if he chooses to run his store this way where staff are rude to customers, I'd take my business elsewhere. His reply: "I'm doing the best I can with the people that I can hire. If you want to boycott me for that then so be it."
No apology, nothing. Someone simply could've said "sorry" and we'd be satisfied. But nope. The owner is rude. The staff is rude. Their version of Salvatore's pizza is bad. I won't go back, and I'll make sure to note the store owner before patronizing a Salvatore's again. This one clearly isn't customer focused.
Will my boycott hurt their bottom line? Of course not. But you should avoid this location at all costs. I understand workers can be tough to come by, but an owner should have better customer...
Read moreThis is the absolute worst service I’ve ever received first I ordered 20 wings. Well done the wings were so undercooked. It was unbelievable at 9:30 PM. They said they were gonna give Me a remake on the wings. I’ve sat there for a full 60 minutes for them to then give me wings that still was not well done. I also ordered a sheet pizza that set for the extra hour while they remade the chicken. They were very unapologetic not one time today. Try to make the situation better I’m very unsatisfied very unhappy I will never ever spend another dollar at the Salvators on Jefferson Road. For me to have waited in 460 minutes it was actually over an hour. My wings should have been well done the longest they should have taken was 25 to 30 minutes. It’s almost as if they did it on purpose to get back at me for not taking the first undercooked batch of wings. I wasn’t looking to get anything at all for free but when you make a customer wait over an hour and a half for sheet pizza and 20 wings that is completely unacceptable. As I look at my sheet pizza half of the slices, don’t even have cheese on them. You can see the base of the pizza if I didn’t have five hungry little girls at home I would not have took that food, but unfortunately, I was forced to due to the time I had to wait to still not have my order correct. I will be calling the manager tomorrow because this is extremely unacceptable. They should have given me those wings for free for taking that much of my time. I spent $75 for a sheet pizza and 20 wings unbelievable. I’ve had 🍕Salvators 1000 times before this is the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with them and it’s...
