Ordered the other night, to be frank, dissatisfied. Starting with ordering my food, I called ahead at around 1 am and while I can understand working late retail is exhausting the guy on the other end, who would later turn out to be the owner, was generally rude with me. I went ahead and ordered anyway because sometimes you catch people in a bad place and y'know you don't want to be to judgemental. I ordered two calzones, the Italian and the BBQ Chicken, both with marinara dipping sauce. When I picked up my food, the first guy at the register was polite and I had a brief sigh of relief. And while the wait was a bit on the longer side, it wasn't too bad, only about 15 to 20 minutes. However, another worker, who I suspected was the guy who took my call from his voice, handed me my food, he was short with me and immediately left, I couldn't get a word in with him and then I had to stick around because I hadn't paid for it. When he looped back around I told him I hadn't paid for it, he thanked me for being honest, told me he was the owner, and I went on my way. Overall, service was bad. Get home, find they forgot the marinara sauce for both the Calzones. Take a bite into my Italian Calzone, it's cold, weirdly chewy, dry, the mozzarella and meat is lukewarm. I feel like the sauce would have improved it, but it wouldn't have been that much better. My girlfriend told me she enjoyed her BBQ Chicken, I told her I never wanted to go back to that place. Might have caught them on a bad night, but certainly wasn't worth the hassle...

As a lover of comfort food type of cuisine, I was eager to try out the calzones at D.P.Dough. However, my experience left much to be desired. Firstly, the service was incredibly slow, with long wait times despite there being few customers. Man I miss Calios, they knew how to cook calzones. I believe a homeless person would find a more delightful mean out of the trash can.
When my calzone finally arrived, it was lukewarm at best, and the dough was overcooked, leaving a dry, burnt taste. The filling lacked flavor and seemed like it had been hastily thrown together without much thought. The cheesy tots, left under the influence prior or ordering, were going to be drizzled or topped with a creamy nacho cheese, not shredded cheese on a flattop melted over scorching temperatures to make what you see below.
To add insult to injury, the prices were exorbitant considering the poor quality of the food. Overall, I left feeling disappointed and dissatisfied, with no desire to return or recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and skip this disappointing...
Read moreWe ordered 2 orders of the pesto stixs and 1 order of the garlic parm stixs and neither one of the pesto orders had pesto on it and the dough was completely raw. The garlic parm order was dry and over cooked and had nothing on it. When I called to complain about it the "owner" said that he is the one who personally made them and it had pesto on it. He then said that the pesto mixture is blended in with the cheese but last time I checked pesto is green and has a wonderful taste to it but this had no taste to it. The "owner" gave me nothing but attitude when I called and complained and eventually he finally asked me if he wanted us to have him make new ones but as he asked he had to be nasty and very stern with me and raised his voice. That is not how business is done and he should be ashamed of himself with how he acted and spoke to me...
