My family, best friend and her family were visiting the Dino Safari Festival. We decided to grab dinner since we were all hungry. We decided on this restaurant since none of us had ever been.
My reviews for food, staff and service are as follows: First off, we were greeted by a young lady who seemed very tired and annoyed. I felt bad for her at first but then her attitude became unacceptable. I went up to ask for a table and before I could finish speaking- she cut me off and asked "were you the one that called and hung up?" to which I replied no. She walked away without saying anything. She came back, took a table of three and still didn't say anything to me about our table. She finally came back after a while sighing and looking highly annoyed. Her attitude almost made us leave but again it was first time so we ignored it.
We were greeted by our server whose name I think was Rich. He was nice (at first) and offered his opinions on the appetizers. He took our orders for apps, entrees and drinks. We ordered the California rolls, Dynamite Shrimp Rolls and spare ribs. Our apps came, we had no plates or utensils to eat in/with. We waited forever for the spicy mayo that comes with the dynamite shrimp rolls, we ended up asking another waiter for plates- we also told him about the spicy mayo which we never received. Eventually, our food came out. My best friend asked Rich (not very sure if that's his name) for a spoon for her daughter to eat with, she also asked if he bring it soon since we had to wait a long time for everything else. He answered and kept giving excuses to my best friend. He said "I have a lot of other tables", "you guys aren't the only ones here"..... My best friend's husband then told the waiter that he shouldn't be making excuses but instead he should just apologize. The waiter became so angry and started talking crap to my best friend's husband, he walked off and said "y'all can serve y'all selves, I don't care" I had to get up and get my son's food from the tray. He never came back, nor did any waiters/waitresses. We were left sitting there not even having an appetite anymore, mind you we all went in there feeling very hungry.
My husband had to get up to ask someone for a spoon for my son and my Goddaughter. We ended up having to ask for a manager because this was beyond unacceptable.
Jen, the manager came over- she was the kindest person we met in there tonight. She listened as I explained everything that happened and then genuinely apologized on behalf of the waiter and the restaurant. She promised that the waiter would be dealt with accordingly and said our bill was on the house. Thank you so much Jen for being kind and really listening to all I had to say. While we were thankful that we didn't have to pay for such an experience, our goal was to make sure that the manager knew the kind of experience her employees are creating for customers.
This experience without a doubt, ruined our first time experience at P.F. Chang's.
Oh, the food was okay, I think. We couldn't enjoy what we ordered, we barely even touched our food- the manager asked if we wanted to go boxes but at that point we just wanted to leave so we left our food...
Read moreI hope someone from PF Chang corporate reads this and views the video cameras in the Huntington Station NY restaurant- as all this will be verified... We entered the restaurant around 3:15pm on February 4th, 2024. As the restaurant was not very crowded, we were seated immediately. The waiter came over shortly after we were seated. We were seated in the main dining area...in the booth just opposite the serving corner of the bar. Nice enough guy, took our drink orders and asked if there was anything else we needed as we looked over the menu. We asked for utensils and napkins as there were none on the table. He returned a few minutes later with the 2 drinks, and he took our order. We asked for the pork egg rolls as an appetizer and 2 entrees. This was now around 3:25pm. A good 30 minutes goes by...we still don't have our appetizer...a simple egg roll, nor do we yet have utensils. Our waiter has been missing in action since he took our order. About 5 minutes after that, which is now almost 4pm, the manager is making her rounds, and she stops at our table to ask how everything is. We inform her that we still have no utensils or napkins, and that it has been a long amount of time that we are waiting on an appetizer. She apologizes and says she will get us utensils right away, and she will check on our appetizer. Another 10 minutes passes....still no utensils, still no appetizer. As I look across the dining room, I see the same manager standing against a wall near the restrooms, laughing and joking around with another member of the staff. Apparently not a care in the world that she came to check on us, found out we were not happy with something, and failed to rectify the situation in a timely fashion. That was the final straw. I got up, went over to her and requested the bill for the drinks telling her we have no more patience to wait for utensils which she never brought nor our appetizers. She tried telling me that the appetizer will be right out but I refused at this point. As we were gathering our coats to leave, still no check for the 2 drinks. Being that I am an honest customer, I left $25 on the table and we walked out of the restaurant. I feel only then were we finally taken seriously as customers as the manager now chased after us as we left. She offered an apology and a $25 gift card to rectify the situation. I'm not sure what the issue was at this particular restaurant on this particular day...but it was unacceptable. It was not that crowded of a dining room, it was just 2 of us dining, we ordered a simple app and simple entrees. The waiter went invisible, the manager made her rounds as if she cared but then couldn't find the time to get simple utensils because she was distracted by light conversation with a coworker. Sadly it is things like this which contribute to PF Chang locations closing at the...
Read more5/3/24 I see they're still keeping it up with the phony baloney reviews! Read over the recent reviews in order. They're so fake, it's comical. It's to drown out, bury and hide the voices and reviews of truth.
You want to know about the restaurant minus the poppycock? Click the one star reviews, then the two star reviews. There's PLENTY of them.
with it's attitude, crappy service and dry, boring bland food, this restaurant doesn't even remotely resemble, it's long ago self
If you must, sit at the bar near the weekend. They have a few interesting drinks but don't waste your time and money on the waitstaff or the food
and if you really want, buy one of the supermarket frozen P.F. Chang's meals. Unfortunately, the only one that fits my diet is the fried cauliflower. It's good//
I wish they would stop soliciting all the obvious fake reviews. Believe the honest ones
This establishment used to be friendly, lively, with fresh, tasty, beautifully presented food. I greatly enjoyed P.F. Changs in Huntington and was a regular patron in the past
When I went to the restaurant about 6 months ago, I was confronted with a rude and disinterested desk staff but recently decided, to give the place another chance.
My waiter was obnoxious without any interest in doing his job. The managers were helpful and kind, but why and how is someone as this even hired, and likewise, not fired on the spot.
I agree with another reviewer, that the influx of recent reviews are obviously solicited, antiseptic and fake. All laughably two sentences and the same!
They changed the menu, inexplicably removing the best dishes, and unfortunately the food wasn't prepared properly and lacking in flavor and appearance.
The atmosphere changed also. The dining room was empty with only two other parties, dark but with a blinding glare coming through the windows
3/18/25 This place has really gone downhill with unfriendly, inept, incompetant, "could care less management" Jasmine, who didn't even introduce herself
Horrendous, unprofessional, inexperienced waitstaff. Professional, friendly bartenders (Angel and Natalie). Natalie especially is "on the ball" and works her butt off.
They are inexplicably not vegan friendly at all. Vegans should be aware the Chinese food is not authentic and they put eggs, milk and oyster sauce in nearly everything!
The Mapo Tofu which is vegan, is not mapo nor spicy but a less sweet General Tso's. The vegetarian and vegan, lettuce leaf appetizer with tofu, water chestnut, scallion, romaine, crispy fried rice noodles and an extemely mild, smoky sesame wasabi sauce is consistently yummy
Drinks are still good although not as many, and to add to the strangeness, the pear drink has apple but no pear! No thanks! However, it is worth it to sit at the bar and take advantage of their all day food and...
