I had the pleasure of celebrating my mother-in-law's 90th birthday celebration at Patrizia Marquee in Commack this weekend and was blown away by the experience . Planning the event with the managers could not have been a more pleasant experience. They put together an amazing menu that not only included many of their signature dishes but also accommodated several picky eaters in our group. The ambiance of the restaurant is tasteful with high end finishes and beautiful lighting. They have a private room that comfortably accommodated our group of almost thirty. The service was impeccable, with our servers being attentive and knowledgeable.
The highlight of the meal was the food. The fried calamari appetizer was crisp without a hint of oil. Meatballs with ricotta were tended and beautifully seasoned, and the eggplant rollatini were thoughtfully portioned, tastefully prepared and presented.
Their namesake Marquee salad of finely chopped vegetables, salami, peperino and sun dried tomatoes is not to be missed. The pasta course of their signature money bag pasta filled with soft mozzarella in a creamy tomato sauce was rich and wonderful.
Our main courses were equally amazing. Chicken scarpariello was moist and full of savory sausage, multicolor roasted peppers, onions and delicate potatoes. Chicken parmigiana in luciano sauce was a wonderful upscaling of what can often be an ordinary dish, The flavor of the veal marsala was perfectly balanced, and the was divine. The Napoleon cake served for dessert was one of the best I have ever had. There is no doubt that care was given to its preparation. The cream was so fresh and the pastry layers so crisp that it was clearly made shortly before serving. The presentation and service were so impressive, making the dishes even more appealing.
I would definitely recommend Patrizia’s Marquee Commack to anyone looking for an amazing meal in Commack. Even if you are not in the area it is worth the trip. I will certainly be returning with my family and friends for a more...
Read moreWent here last night the food was better than average. I will give them that, but nowhere near good enough to justify the price. 3 appetizers a salad and two entrees cost over $200 (with no drinks) and took 2 AND A HALF HOURS to come out. The place was packed. There were several large tables, so my family of 4 got completely ignored until they left (no waiter for the first hour). I get that they are going to service the tables of 12 over the table of 4, but I didn’t expect to get completely ignored. We waited an hour for meatballs and a caprese salad and crab cakes. Finally they came out. Now the wait continues for another hour. Then finally at the two hour mark we were told again “I’m sorry, the kitchen is backed up, we are overwhelmed, but the hey are plating your entrees right now”, which was totally untrue because it took another 30 minutes for the entrees to come. I literally just god spaghetti carbonara which was soupy and had too much pasta water in it. We sat down at 7:45 and left the restaurant at 10:30. I couldn’t hear a word my family was saying and we were sitting right next to and across from each other. It was so loud we had to text each other the whole time. DUDE, if you are that busy and your service is going to be that bad, STOP TAKING RESERVATIONS! You are NOT providing the fine dining experience you are charging people for!! There is clearly no one managing this place because it was the most disorganized nightmare I’ve ever lived through, and unless you are a party of 12 or more you will be...
Read morehad the absolute pleasure of dining at Patrizia Marquee last night, and I'm still reeling from the incredible experience. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a truly exceptional evening. The decor is sleek and modern, with a clever use of natural light that makes the space feel cozy and intimate. But let's get to the main event: the food. Oh, the food. We started with the Caprese & the traditional meatballs which was deliciousssss!!!! Each bite was a delight. For my main course, I got the American Lamb chops which arrived at the table looking like a work of art. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection, with a tender and juicy interior that simply melted in my mouth. The truffle Mushroom & black pepper had my taste buds dancing !! To finish off the meal, we shared the chocolate lava cake, which was rich and decadent without being overpowering. The portion was generous, and we left feeling satisfied! Throughout our meal, our server was attentive and knowledgeable, happy to answer questions about the menu and make recommendations. The service was top-notch, with a smile and a sense of genuine enthusiasm that made us feel like we were in good hands.
