Po Lee Chinese Kitchen — Restaurant in Town of Huntington

Yeah I don’t know if the other reviews here are bots or people who haven’t had good takeout chinese (aka hood chinese). I got pepper steak and veggie fried rice. Charged me extra for fried rice and gave me about 4 spoons of rice (I could count in how many bites I finished it). The pepper steak was 4-5 pieces of beef, overloaded with undercooked onions and green pepper. Completely over charged me $14 for basically a few nibbles. Also got fried shrimp. I think it’s been sitting in the fridge for a day or two and they reheated it. Terrible, stale, the crust is not crispy. And surprise: This is the first chinese spot that proudly doesn’t carry tar tar sauce for their shrimp. Also charged me $12-14 dollars for this.

Now the taste of the food: the pepper steak was not properly cooked thoroughly, the sauce was more WATERY than sauce, just awful.

The lo mein is god awful, stuck together, and flavorless.

So fresh and delicious. I have a plethora of Chinese restaurants around me but I really value great reviews, photos and comments on cleanliness. I didn't wanna go too far out of my way so I trusted the reviews and boy were they accurate!!I hate white meat sesame chicken but I also don't trust dark meat when I'm eating Chinese food, this place automatically gives you white meat(costs more.) Let me tell you, I didn't even notice anything other than the obvious. It was sooo good and their sauce is awesome, the lighter the sauce, the better. I ordered it with white rice, plain lo mein, fried chicken wings, fried vegetable dumplings and soup. Nothing was off, everything was on point. Glad to have found a good Chinese restaurant, I had almost given up on...

This is the place you are looking for if it's eggrolls, lo mein, fried rice, spare ribs, orange/sesame chicken and the like. Everything I've had off their menu is always on point. Order's never wrong, either. They are not cheap, but who is right now? The fact that the food is this good and it's always the same level of quality to a very high degree makes the price is worth it...for now. I can't say the same if their prices keep going up or the quality goes down even a little, they are unfortunately at a tipping point. It's a little hard to justify 50 to 60 dollars for two adults and two young kids to get not a...
