Holy Delicious! I'd heard about Roast for a while from many of my "foodie'" friends, and several years ago, I finally tried it, and I've been going back ever since. This place is great! It's like a gourmet version of Panera. The difference, however, between Roast and Panera, is that Roast obviously really cares about the food they cook. I've read that most of their meats, breads, and fillings, are made in-house, and it sure tastes like it. Everything I have tried here is very good, and most of the things are amazingly good. In fact, some of the sandwiches are so good, I just want to have them every time I go; I've had to force myself to try something new, now and then. My overall favorite has to be their Braised Brisket and Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Soft melt-in-your-mouth brisket, covered in melted cheddar and havarti cheese on perfectly toasted sourdough bread...oh yeah! We're talking eyes-rolling-back-in-your-head-foodgasm here! Another great sandwich is their Southwestern Roast Chicken. It's served on ciabatta bread, and it's roasted chicken, covered with melted Monterey Jack cheese, roasted corn and tomato salsa, guacamole, and blackened aioli. On my last visit, I had a fantastic Pressed Meatloaf Sandwich. It's also served on ciabatta, with bacon, melted cheddar, garlic aioli, and creative and delicious sweet onion cherry pepper jam. They also have great soups (the roasted squash is awesome!), salads, and don't miss the Brussels's sprouts and sweet potato tots with maple syrup. PS Like Panera, they offer a "Pick Two"...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOverpriced and undersized. I ordered the tuna. Supposed to come on a full size sour dough hero as it did the last time I ordered it. Came on a roll half the size it's supposed to be. Never ordering from here again. I'm so furious that I spent what I spent here today. Looking at the size of this tiny thing, I want to launch it across my office right now. My office has ordered from here many times and my experiences have varied greatly. Any time I've ordered soup from here it was horrible. I guess it all depends on the time and day you order, how busy they are, who is working there at the time, and whether or not they ran out of the ingredients needed for your order. I just read alot of the reviews and there are ALOT of horror stories much worse than mine. Portions here are not for hungry grown men over 200 pounds who want to be full. If you are a dwarf, a toddler, or a small woman who wants to overpay for a 50/50 chance at a sandwich with good flavor that's made how you ordered it then this is the place for you. Or if you want to waste money so you can talk about the fancy sounding ingredients in the overpriced sandwich you got for lunch. If you post a negative review the owner will reply and say "we don't serve that..." Really? Apparenty your employees do whatever they want and you have no clue. It's pathetic that you try to make your customers out to be liars rather than accepting the truth. Small portions, big prices, non-existent parking,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLiterally, the worst location this place has. So many people have raved to me about their sandwich sandwiches and another location other than Babylon and I could not relate. After giving Babylon a try, I realize that the customer service in this specific location just sucks. I reached out to Them the three out of three times I ordered in the past couple of years.
The first time a couple of stuff were missing, but they werenāt very expensive so I didnāt really care to call them back as I didnāt plan to go back.
The second time the sandwich was not made as I asked for it and they said they would have a manager to call me back and the manager never called back. Again, I didnāt care because I knew I wouldnāt go back a third time.
One of my friends convinced me that theyāre super so good and that I should go and get that if Iām having trouble with the sandwiches. I got their chicken soup and this time the whole bone of the chicken was there which was also cut up into pieces And I almost swallowed it.
I reached out to them again this time with photos and the manager said he would call me back in 3 to 5 days after getting back to me with an email.
All I wanna say is, Iām glad I didnāt give up on going to this place and try it one more But this time in Babylon Because I wouldāve deprive myself of how good it is due to the second customer service the Melville has. Also, their chef is 1000% better Iām pretty sure itās the same owner so...
