I was here roughly two weeks ago with my family and boyfriend as we decided to stop for some dinner. My boyfriend and I got two avocado burgers, with lettuce, tomato and pickles to add on. We got two fries and two orders of chicken bites. We also decided to try the seasonally Apple Cider Donut shake. This was a lot more food than we anticipated, but we saved some for leftovers.
After having Shake Shack today at another location(Danbury CT), I realized I need to write a good review for a location that actually gave fresh and tasteful food.
We had ordered through the app and then parked up front. We had waited maybe 15 minutes and the waiter brought our food out. We ate in the back in the car and everything we got was delicious and hot/warm. The burgers had FRESH avocado, at least three large slices, not a single brown spot on any slice and a large piece of lettuce. Neither of the burgers were falling apart or sloppily made either.
After trying the avocado burgers for the first time here, my boyfriend and I decided this would be our go-to burger at Shake Shack. The fries were crispy and very good, the chicken bites were literally melt in your mouth. The breading they used was delicious and the chicken was tender. Then let me say, those Shakes were unbelievably delicious. They tasted like the filling of an apple pie and we both loved them.
After seeing the service and food quality we got here compared to Danbury, we both would recommend this location and would most definitely be stopping by when we’re back in town. Thank you Melville...
Read moreUpdate (June 2023): The lady who was standing at the counter to help customer pick up their food was rather too aggressive kept asking me what my name was and what I've ordered. I said my name was Lucas numerous times and she kept saying "I can't understand what you are saying". So the cashier told her my name.
The foods were okay, but when I got reminder on my pad that my foods were ready, it took 10 minutes after to get them because all of the workers were legitimately talking about some company's giveaway, and few others were texting staring at their phone while my milkshake was left out next to the hot foods that were coming out from the grill.
Right after I got my food, I told the workers "thank you, have a good day", but the lady grabbed my shirt and said "thank you" and i said "thank you , you too", then she pulled it once more and said "I said, thank you and have a good day. that means you have to say it too". So I was at a disbelief at this situation and said "I did say thank you, you too". and she said "no you didn't." I just pulled my arm away and walked out afterwards.
Will be changing this review once the quality of the service improves like...
Read moreI have never had such a disrespectful and unprofessional experience at a restaurant. The food runner, SKY, should not be working in customer service especially here (management should handle her).
First, we sent our burgers back because they were undercooked (we requested well done, but they came out pink). When my other half asked for refills on our Diet Coke, he was handed regular Coke instead. When he politely asked what soda was poured, Sky insisted it was Coke “like you said” — which was completely untrue.
What happened next was ABSOLUTELY unacceptable: Sky told my other half that he’s “been up here 10 times” and to “go about his business.” This is outrageous behavior, especially when the mistakes were on their end.
Customer service is a NON-Negotiable, and I expect Shake Shack management and the regional manager to address this situation immediately. Staff should never be allowed to treat customers in this manner, especially after repeated errors.
I will not let this go until it’s resolved — this level of disrespect is unacceptable for any establishment, let alone one with Shake...
