I don’t write many reviews—only for epic disasters to avoid or clear-cut winners. Urubamba Pisco Bar is a hands-down winner. Outstanding on all fronts. The décor is sharp—washed stone wall flowing into a wave-textured wall with subtle Inca-esque figurines tastefully placed. It’s got a relaxed, casually elegant vibe that makes you want to sit back, enjoy your friends, and stay a while. Service? Almost mind-reading. The host, bartender, and server made the night effortless—gracious, professional, and friendly. You can feel the pride they have in the place, and it shows. Drinks are top notch: creative, balanced, and worth coming back for alone. The food is where it truly shines. The octopus was the best I’ve ever had—and I order any place it is on the menu (other than a diner)! Perfectly cooked, tender, and loaded with flavor. The ceviche was deliciously fresh and bright, the paella rich and layered, and the braised ribs and sirloin tips were melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Every dish was paired perfectly, balanced and dialed in. Urubamba nails it—ambiance, drinks, food, service. Easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Huntington. Have at it—you won’t be...
Read moreThe food and service is excellent. My friend and I had the octopus appetizer, which was delicious and very tender, and the mixed Ceviche which was amazing! Then I had the Peruvian paella, which was also great (i cleaned the plate) and my friend had short rib with mash potato. I didn’t tried the meat since I am pescatarian, but the mash potato was so creamy and tasty. Then we had some special Chirimoya ice-cream and also Three leches cake that were the cherry on top. The crew are super friendly and attentive. I was celebrating my birthday, they overheard and brought me the cake and later the coffee and tea on the house. I think the place is cute, but it could feel a little warmer, maybe with some rustic table clothes or small runners, and the type of lighting could be improved to get a little cozier. I will definitely go back, when they get get their alcohol permit, to pair that delicious food with a good wine.🥰 I will definitely recommend...
Read moreFantastic in every way from the moment you walk in. A warm, welcoming environment, beautifully decorated. The owner greets you with a handshake and warmly converses with you. The bartender is personal, friendly, and accommodating. The bar menu is wonderfully unique, with strong drinks and artisinally crafted cocktails and mocktails. After a few minutes we were seated at our table by our cheerful waitress - who was more than happy to discuss the history and flavors of different dishes. The food itself, from the corn given in the beginning, to the appetizers, to the entrees, and finally the desserts - all unique in their own beautiful way while having the rich tastes that you crave in Peruvian cuisine. A restaurant that has the fine dining atmosphere, meal presentation and taste, with the prices of typical LI weekend restaurant (and without the pretentiousness of a fine dining establishment). 10/10 and would absolutely frequent...
