Happy Day Deli — Restaurant in Town of Islip

I normally order from these people almost everyday for a year now. They never really gave me an issue, until they messed up on my order. I called them back immediately to inform them they got the order messed up, the woman on the phone said they would send over another one. It had been almost another 30 minutes, and I have yet to receive anything so I called again. Another woman on the phone answers and she is very rude stating she called me back and we didn't pick up the call, which was a lie. Then she tried to tell me that it was my fault that they messed up on my order, then really almost tried to not give me another bagel. It was a bagel with butter, which is equivalent to not even 2$ and giving me an issue, and when I explained to her we order from you almost everyday she then proceeded to sigh and huff and puff and say well we don't have anymore plain bagels. Just very nasty and rude, I will not be back. The prices are cheap but so are proportions. Chubby's will have my office and I money...

I ordered a hero and specially asked for nothing pork on it, as it is against my beliefs. I get the sandwich about 7 minutes later and I'm eating in the car and notice the sandwich has regular bacon on it because they didnt have didnt have enough Turkey bacon to finish my order, they used what Turkey bacon they had left and added regular bacon ontop. I let an older man working behind the counter know about the mistake. He takes the sandwich to the back after talking to the prep lady in the kitchen for about 30 seconds and comes out with the same sandwich but with the regular bacon removed. He saw I was upset when I asked him to keep the sandwich and began to walk out. Only after then does he ask me if I want it remade.

This isnt the only deli in the area but very conveniently located to me. I'm not coming...

Ordered from the steam table. I watched them try to skimp out on me. OK maybe I didn't specify a large? Then they weighed it very quickly before I could walk over and see what I was getting. Usually a normal place would ask "Is .75 lbs ok?" or something like that.... Ok maybe a fixed cost?

I don't care about cost if I get what I pay for. They gave me very small portions compared to what you would expect from a Long Island deli. Ended up paying $12 with a bottle of water and I am still hungry. The food was good in quality, but not $12 for about .5lb of food and a bottle of water.

Not going back again, and I am conveniently walking distance across the street. Being cheap one time just made them loose potentially 5 days of 2 meals of business and I informed all of my colleagues just in case they...
