Union Blvd Deli — Restaurant in Town of Islip

Somehow I think a couple of these reviewers were not at the same place that I've visited. This was my fourth visit here this summer, and I'll tell you the food has been excellent every time. Not to mention astoundingly inexpensive. I'm finishing up lunch platter with fish with peppers, spanish rice and cilantro tomato salad that costs just a bit more than a Starbucks drink . And the food is really good. They have about a dozen or so salads and cold sides and another 8 or 10 entrees. You can mix and match, and I have yet to have anything that was not just excellent. Everything is homemade, I did ask, and really flavorful. Special suggestion, ask for their private hot sauce, it is seriously hot, really good. And of course also homemade. Very rude staff music to loud can't hear your order constantly asked what u want over and over and still gives u the wrong stuff and argues with you when u try to correct them i spend at least 40$ when i visit! foods good if u can get past their ignorance and rude and disrespectful behavior idk if the guy is hard of hearing or just dont care about his customers..told hom if he didn't drop the attitude i would go elsewhere his response was i dont care ....health and fire inspection...

Since the new management has taken over this spot, its a pleasure to visit this deli. Mornings are busy, but the staff works hard to make sure your breakfast is exactly what you need to get your day started. The food selection is a welcome change to the neighborhood. Spanish food is delicious. The coffee even tastes better than before. Over all I highly recommend the Union Deli for good eats! Oh did i mention the prices are extremely reasonable!!!!! Always a plus!!! ...
