Around 1 AM, after I drove through one of the apartment communities I manage, I was hungry and there’s a Burger King one block away from the complex. I googled Burger King near me and it said it was closed and reopened at 7 AM. I took a chance and drove the block lol. When I drove through I was pleasantly surprised that they were open. I placed my order and went to pay. To make conversation, I told the woman dealing with my order “You know...when I googled - Burger King near me - it said this was closed. I’m glad I decided to drive by. I’m surprised such a big corporation makes this kind of mistake”. At this point you would think a fast food worker at 1:30am on a Friday would think, if not say...”yeah ok. Thank you. On your way”. She was the opposite and replied surprisingly. She told me that those are the winter hours. I jokingly said “I understand but we’re only in September and I can’t believe they did that”! She apologized profusely to me (why? Im a 1:30am customer? What fast food worker interacts with customers in a nice way at this time?), then thanked me (twice) and I was on my way. Come on Burger King...you can do better for this girl! Maybe SHE should be the one handling the online stuff or at the very least find her a traveling customer service gig so she can visit locations and train them on customer service and hopefully uses this as an example and tell them what she did for me to give me a positive experience (such a positive experience that yes....it’s 2am and I’m writing a review because I was THAT satisfied with this employee’s customer service).
335 Montauk Highway, Bay shore NY 11706 is where she worked on 9/19/2020 at 1:30 am. I hope your HR researchers will do a good job! I have been in customer service for 25 years and know good customer service when I see it at ANY level. She was able to provide this customer service only because I drove by, taking my chances, because Google said you were closed. You guys can do better than that and these are the types of people that you need! Kudos to that young lady for not only caring, but actually explaining the situation to me. Thank you very much whoever you may be! I’ll definitely be back at this location same time next week just to tell you about the review and to thank you once again!
Burger King...do better in recognizing talent and good customer service. People like this should be rising through your ranks,...
Read moreBuckle up review seekers because we have a story for you. We went into this store and had a prime example of both unnecessarily greedy and rude customer service.
We went in and ordered 2 of the Impossible Whoppers with Cheese for myself and my girlfriend along with some nuggets for the kids. We waited 15 minutes for the order to come out, only to have the Whoppers missing the cheese. Normally not a major problem, especially around dinner time rush. I went to the counter and told them we ordered the burgers with cheese on it and brought the receipt up, that indicated there it was supposed to be 2 cheese impossible whoppers. Instead of doing what any other restaurant would do and just fix that very understandable and common mistake, they told me that what I ordered wasn't what we told them (even though the receipt says otherwise) and then proceeded to charge me $1.20 to put cheese on what was supposed to be the cheeseburgers that I already paid for.
The irony in all this is that the receipt has a survey you fill out. And when you show a code from the survey at the counter they give you a Free Whopper anyway! So they mean to tell me that they can afford to give me an entire sandwich, for free, for a filled out survey. But they absolutely have to charge you twice to put a slice of cheese on a sandwich you already paid for.
And on top of all this other customers told me (while I waited another 10 minutes) that they saw the staff roll their eyes when I asked them to fix the order and have an unnecessary attitude with me. When all was said and done, my "fast food" ended up being a 30 minute wait.
So if you enjoy waiting actual restaurant times for your fast food, receiving a wrong order, getting rude customer service in return, and then having to pay for your own food twice, then you'll have a blast here.
If you are a rational human being, who doesn't want to be charged twice for the slices of government cheese that should have been on your order in the first place, don't even give this place the...
Read moreI got here at 9:50 and the manager at this location was very rude. There was a dilemma inside of the store from what i could tell. I ordered here with friends and we intended to eat inside as we saw there was other customers eating inside. The manager put our food in bags and told me that they were closed. There was other customers behind us. So we sat inside and we ate inside while i watched the customers behind me order their food and be kicked out by the staff inside while they did closing rituals inside. Garbages, wipe tables, etc. Before i left i ordered food to take home for my mother in law. The staff was resilient to serve me but they served me when i said ill pay with my credit card. I found out as i was leaving the manager said they close at 10pm on the inside. The inside of this place is beautiful with the recent renovations that the company did to this Burger King. Big screen TVs, high rise seating, lounge chairs, and plenty of booth space to fit a small militia. Its a nice place to eat but the staff working inside will make me think twice before eating at this particular Burger King in the future because the way i was treated by the staff inside of the restaurant. Very...
