The deli is an absolute disappointment. Service is fine enough when you order in store, but there is often no associate at the counter, leaving you waiting for 10+ minutes before eventually giving up and grabbing something pre sliced. However, when you place an order through the advertised deli preorder system; your meat will NEVER be cut to the selected thickness (unless you want standard), your order is often not ready when you arrive 30+ minutes later as instructed, and there is no system to collect your order without speaking to a deli associate, who is often busy or completely absent. Most recently, I arrived at 1:30pm on Sunday to pickup a deli order that I had ordered around 9:45 that morning. I placed my order early so that it would actually be ready when I arrived. When I arrived to the deli counter, there was no associate in sight. The rotisserie employee looked at me a few times but did not address me. After about 5 minutes, and manager from a different department noticed me and was able to collect my order for me. When I got home with my order, I opened my turkey to discover that it was finally cut to the right thickness (the first time in WEEKS), but it WAS THE WRONG MEAT. Read moreI have been shopping at BJ’s since they opened the store, and up until today it has always been a fine experience. I put a deli order in on the app one hour before I was in the store, got to the store, the deli meat was not in the case so I stood in line and after the four people in front of me were served, I told the man I had ordered stuff through the app and it wasn’t in the area it usually is, to which he replied in a mumbling manner ”Gonna be a long time before you get that.” What the heck BJ’s? Seriously!? I told them cancel my order. When you pay over a hundred dollars a year for a membership, I would hope that would come with a little more common courtesy. And being “short staffed” is no excuse when there are always people sitting on their butt serving samples, when they could be utilized in a more efficient manner like taking care of customer orders. Read moreI do not work here anymore, but that isn’t to say that this company hasn’t taken a nose dive in quality. Corporate is cutting hours, more than half the things in the club are broken, and there is cat and bird shit in every aisle constantly. Oh, and there’s mold in the bathrooms where members use and the back room bathrooms as well. Not only that, but Costco is paying $30/hour now, and BJ’s has not said anything about doing the same. To say that BJ’s doesn’t care about their employees is an understatement.
EDIT: it seems that they are hiding my review as well, just to brush it under the rug. Typical. And they apparently have a problem with mice peeing and pooping around the store. Not surprising in the slightest.
*If anyone is looking to work here, run away. This company will not treat you well and screw you over sooner than later. This company cares way more about profit than their own employees. No wonder why nobody is working...
