Foodie Stop in Ithaca – Ole Ole Korean Food at Ithaca Mall✨
Traveling through Ithaca always brings me joy, especially when I find hidden gems that make the trip even more memorable. This was my second time stopping by Ole Ole Korean Food at Ithaca Mall, and I have to say—it was just as fantastic as the first visit, maybe even better!
I ordered a variety of dishes this time to really experience what this family-owned spot has to offer. The vegetable & tofu hotpot was perfect—hearty, flavorful, and packed with fresh ingredients like mushrooms, tofu, noodles, and crisp veggies all simmering in a delicious broth. It felt like comfort in a bowl.
Next up was the shiitake mushroom burrito—a fun fusion twist! Filled with mushrooms, lettuce, corn, pickled onions, and a touch of sauce, every bite had that mix of freshness and umami I love. Then came the vegetarian bibimbap—colorful, vibrant, and so satisfying with edamame, carrots, pickled radish, mushrooms, and a soft egg on top, all tied together with their gochujang sauce. And of course, I couldn’t resist the pork belly bun—juicy, tender pork topped with fresh shredded veggies, tucked into a pillowy soft bun. Pure happiness.
What makes Ole Ole even more special is the warm hospitality. The owners are super friendly and clearly put love into everything they serve. Prices are also very reasonable, especially considering the quality and generous portions.
If you’re in Ithaca, skip the chains and come here instead—you’ll get authentic, delicious, and heartwarming food. I’ll definitely be back again soon!

The owners and staff at Ole Ole Ithaca are really what make them stand out. You can just feel how much they care about their customers and food. I can guarantee they will always provide you with top-tier service. Honestly, I was (and continue to be) pleasantly surprised at how personable and attentive the service is, considering its counter-service. If anything, I love how quick and convenient it is, without lacking in excellent service or quality.
The interior has an open farmhouse aesthetic that is inviting and full of character.
Ole Ole Ithaca serves Korean street food, but what makes this spot different is the fusion blend that you won’t find everywhere. The food is always delicious, the portions are generous, and it feels homemade. With rising costs these days, I find the prices are unbeatable for the portion sizes. I frequently order online for delivery or takeout, and the website is super easy to use. The food is just as fresh and tasty as eating in, so I use their website a lot.
Ithaca has many Korean restaurants, but Ole Ole Ithaca is one of those places that truly offer the best of all worlds: delicious Korean food with a unique twist, consistently great quality, and stellar service in a welcoming atmosphere.
Like I said, I can’t gatekeep this gem forever, because I know that once you try the food, it will instantly become one of your favorite...
Read moreWife and I tried this place out on Friday Nov 15, 2024. I heard good things locally and wanted to try it out myself. It's a fusion menu, so although it's Korean inspired there are offerings that are from other cultures. They have options for vegetarians as well.
My wife got the kimchi ramen and I got the spicy pork banh mi. My wife said the kimchi ramen was delicious and the banh mi I got was super delicious. Their pork was really good and tender and well seasoned/cooked. I've had banh mi all over the country and this one was done a little differently but it was still wonderful in its own way. Banh mi purists might cry about it, but I enjoyed it a lot.
My wife and I also got beef and vegetable dumplings to start. These were pretty basic but they tasted as they should have.
Would recommend...and I can't wait to try out the rest of...
