I recently hosted a private party in connection with my son‘s wedding at Torcello‘s. There was a significant amount of planning ahead of the event. the staff and the owner at the restaurant were just so wonderful and so helpful and so flexible. They were also super patient in helping me select wines and some dishes in the weeks before the party.
The event was really enjoyed by everyone and I’m so grateful to the staff of the restaurant for helping me plan an execute my party. Some specific thoughts:
Dining room: We had a large party (25 people) so we booked the room upstairs. The room is very intimate, nicely lit, beautifully decorated and comfortable. It was very homey and warm. I wasn’t sure how to set up the tables, but I was given several good options. I ultimately followed the owners advice on this, and I was glad that I did. When I got there a few hours early on the day of the event, the room was beautifully set up .
Food: The food was great. I decided to order the appetizers and pastas and salads ahead of time. When the food came out, everyone loved it and it was so plentiful and beautifully plated. It just kept coming. The salads all looked so fresh and delicious, and they were. We had the peach flatbreads and they were really so flavorful and beautifully presented. The pasta dishes were just great. The bolognese was the best I can recall having anywhere. The entrées also were excellent . Everyone in my group was raving about the food. Several people had seafood dishes, and they all look beautiful and I sampled quite a few, and they were all delicious. I had the shrimp scampi over pasta , which was spectacular. I heard nothing but raves from my guests about the food.
Service: The owner personally greeted all the guests as did his son. They were super attentive to us, but very unassuming and went about their business in a very discreet and very professional manner. The service by the wait staff was impeccable. Several times during the event the owner or his son would come up to me and make sure everything was proceeding as I hoped. And it was. The owner and his son were so friendly to all the guests. It was really such a warm, welcoming environment in which to have a party.
I would not hesitate for one second to recommend this restaurant for a simple evening out, or for a large party. I give them top marks for food, ambience, and hospitality. I...

The atmosphere of the restaurant was intimate and inviting, with a cozy and upscale ambiance that was perfect for a special occasion. The menu was diverse and offered something for everyone, with a wide range of dishes that were all expertly prepared and presented.
I was particularly impressed with the seafood options, which were fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The pasta dishes were also a standout, with rich and savory sauces that were a perfect complement to the expertly crafted noodles. I would recommend the burrata ravioli, it was absolutely outstanding.
The wine list at Torcello was impressive and offered a wide range of options to pair with my meal. The sommelier was knowledgeable and helpful in making recommendations that really enhanced the overall dining experience.
Overall, my experience at Torcello was nothing short of excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience that is sure to...
Read moreWe just came back from our first dinner here and I have to say that this is a real gem. The owner, waiter and staff were very attentive and personable. Parking was great, as they have their own lot. Their bread is delicious....but be warned, if you eat too much of it you may not have room for the rest of the food, and it's not something you want to miss. As our appetizers, we ordered Caesar salad, fig flat bread and calamari. The salad was good, the calamari were perfectly cooked. Not rubbery at all. Very tender. The fig flat bread was really great and the highlight of the apps....not to take away from the others, but it was the star. For dinner I ordered the branzino, my wife had pasta primavera, our friends ordered the swordfish and a pork dish (sorry I don't remember which one). Both fish portions were very good size. All the entrees were delicious. We never felt rushed. We finished with a little lemon sorbet (no room for more) and deaf cappuccino's. It was so great that we made reservations for a little graduation dinner next week. Can't...
