La Riviera — Restaurant in Town of Mount Pleasant

Meh. Recently had dinner hoping to catch up with a friend I had not seen in a while. We settled on Riviera based on the reviews but our experience fell short. Arrived a little after 6:30pm on a Friday to an empty restaurant. Three other tables seated. Service was extremely rushed. We ordered an appetizer and the waiter returned three times to take our entree orders before the app even arrived. The bar is very limited. Standard drinks, no margaritas. My cosmo arrived with a dead bug in it. The Manager, Michele who doubles as the bartender/hostess was very apologetic and quickly made me another. Food was decent, nothing remarkable. The restaurant remained empty for the remainder of our hourlong visit.

If you’re looking to have an intimate dinner, you may want to rethink patroning this venue. You’ll be rushed and hovered over until you pack up your meal and leave. Ended up going elsewhere...

Worst meal experience I’ve ever had this place probably still is only in business because of old locals that don’t know any better what an actual dump sitting in somebody’s basement Fly’sbuzzing around while trying to eat salad out of a bag made the stupid mistake of ordering fish that was the worst thing I’ve ever tasted in my life never been to such a bad restaurant in a long time. Ordered a soda they came out of a can. Diet soda look at the date on the bottom it was expired by like two years my parents took me here, and I frankly I was embarrassed for them. The guy serving the food was disheveled and his clothes are dirty. It was really disgusting. The health department needs to take a look at this place Time to just close down...

I came back home for the holidays and was so excited to eat at one of my favorite restaurants. However, once I came to pick up the food with my mother, the waiter/owner of the restaurant was incredibly disrespectful and rude to us both. I don’t know what happened as this restaurant as it used to be super fun and family friendly. Now they are really nasty and rush you in and out as fast as they can in order to make room for other customers. We have been coming here for many years and have never had any issues before. I don’t know what changed… but it wasn’t...
