TasTeas Bubble Tea and Ice Cream — Restaurant in Town of New Paltz

After moving here from Eugene, OR, finding this place was refreshing! Since I hadn't been here before I ordered something I know I like that most tea shops have: Large Taro with Lychee Jelly. I didn't make any alterations, so I got 100% sweetness & 100% ice. If you have a sweet tooth, like me, this would be a fine drink, especially with the ice melting over time it would help water the sweetness down. If you don't have a sweet tooth, I'd recommend going down to 25% or even 0% sweetness with 25% ice. The Lychee Jelly was perfect for me and this drink; l'm already looking forward to trying their Tapioca & popping boba. Adorable, friendly family business with yummy ice cream and bubble tea. I've struggled to find an ice cream shop I really like in the area, but this one hits all of the requirements- not too sweet, unique and traditional flavors that pair well together, and lusciously creamy. It's the perfect balance of fatty richness with delicious flavors that aren't overpowered by an unnecessary amount of additional sugar, but instead lets the high quality cream speak for itself. Today I tried their bubble milk tea for the first time with the popping boba and it's by far the best bubble tea I've had in the Hudson Valley area. 10/10, best priced in town, so many options, family owned, friendly staff- DELICIOUS! The other options in town are over priced, and quite frankly… don’t taste that good. TasTeas has bubble tea, ice cream, and Italian ice- and although I only had the Italian ice, it was probably the best I’ve ever had. They currently have the cutest little red solo cups for samples, and the regular scoops & cups are a pretty decent size. About $7 for 2 scoops of Italian ice.
