NEW USA NAILS & SPA — Local services in Town of New Paltz

I got my nails done on New Year’s Eve and I’m very disappointed. First I get there and I’m told I have to wait 45 minutes which isn’t an issue they tell me to come back and leave my number so they can call me when they have a spot. I wait over an hour and no call so I head back and I look and see all new faces sitting in the chairs and look at the list to see none of them had appointments. I then inform them that they asked me to come back so I waited another 30 minutes and finally get seated with table 2. I ask for a full set and if she could do coffin shape and a marble accent nail and she says no she can only do marble with gel which is another $30 more so I decline and say I’ll just get a different color instead. She starts to roughly clip my real nails leaving long rough parts of my nails and she was about to glue down the fake ones. I had to ask her to please file down my real nails because I don’t want any air bubbles between my nail in glue I fear of an infection. After puttin on the fake nails she cuts them down to size (I also asked for coffin shape) instead of cutting the nails before putting on the acrylic she decides to do the acrylic first then file down my nails into the “right” shape. It felt like she was gonna rip my real and fake nails off. The coffin shape is horribly uneaten and she cut my cuticle then tried to hide it from me. Oh yeah and she glued her finger to my finger. Really disappointed in this establishment. I was a costumer for years. I left because they were terrible with time management and often the technician who started my services wouldn’t finish it, my appointments would get interrupted for walk in waxings or other tasks. I recently went back to give it another chance and left very frustrated. I called to make an appointment for the same day in the afternoon they gave me multiple times to choose from. I was scheduled for a gel pedi and dip manicure. I arrived prior to my appointment time and they took me 20 minutes late for my pedicure and when I got up to get my manicure the technician said I would have to wait at least another 30 minutes before she could start on me. I left without the manicure. I understand that a good mani and pedi takes time but a total of 50 minutes of wait time added into a scheduled appointment is unacceptable. I won’t...

I will never waste my money here again. I rarely get my nails done since I’m in the food industry, but I had a special occasion and this location had good reviews. I went for a gel manicure, and only got a polish. The mail technician was nice, but didn’t give me a manicure at all. Normally for a basic manicure they clean your nails, your cuticle bed gets cleaned, they lotion your hands and soak your nails. The only thing she did was shape my nails apply the gel polish. At the end she had me wash my hands, and before I got up to leave asked me if I wanted lotion. I was surprised and said yes thank you, only to be handed a sticky and slippery lotion bottle.
