Novellas Weddings & Events — Attraction in Town of New Paltz

We just had our wedding at Novellas and it was a magical experience from start to finish. From touring the venue for the first time to picking up our decorations the day after the event and everything in between, we felt so cared for.

Working with Bryce during the planning process was a dream. He is so knowledgeable, personable, and fun! He had great ideas when we were unsure and was always ready to implement any and all ideas we had of our own.

He answered all of my questions and even made our unexpected date change work seamlessly! On the days leading up to and the day of the event, Chloe took over as Bryce had a scheduled time away. Chloe ran our event so wonderfully! We even had to pivot the ceremony inside last minute because of rain and she coordinated that perfectly.

My bridal party and I spent the day in the bridal suite getting hair and makeup done and just viking before the wedding and Chloe provided excellent service to us, keeping us fed and hydrated throughout the day! And answering all of our last minute questions and attending to all of our needs.

She executed the actual event so perfectly, informing us along the way and keeping the guests and wedding party on time and where they needed to be. And she put up all of decor so beautifully!! She really executed my vision beyond my wildest dreams.

And the in house DJ was phenomenal so definitely consider booking them. And the cake provided by Pastry Garden was perfect. And both our hair and makeup vendors were so impressed with the bridal suite! They loved how set up it was to accommodate their services. And we had a blast hanging out and getting ready there.

And our guests were SO impressed by the food! They couldn't stop raving about it. Everything was so delicious. There wasn't one single item I would have changed. My husband is a chef and I'm an event planner and foodie so we had high expectations and they were definitely exceeded across the board.

I highly recommend Novellas for your next event. Everything was so easy and the night was so beautiful and elegant and classy and fun....

This place is absolutely superb, and that still feels like an understatement. I was in town from Portland, OR and needed to book a reservation for a special occasion. I initially tried booking reservations at several other places, but they were all closed for winter break. Novellas was my final option for something that had potential (having never eaten there before). Now I lived in New Paltz for several years and have a pretty good idea of what the dining options are like in the area (not bad, not phenomenal).

In my opinion, this place wipes the floor with everything else in the area and having done much travel, is one of the best places I've eaten in a while. Everything was cooked to perfection, perfect portions, timing, plating, etc. There was not one aspect of the entire meal that I could say was subpar.

If you're looking for something with a romantic and classy vibe, this place is it. It's a very good blend of casual and upper class. The person I was with has been a professional chef for the better part of 15 years and this was the first meal I've had with them where they didn't have to salt / season anything. They feel exactly the way I do about the experience and that's pretty impressive, considering they're able to find some minor flaw with wherever we have eaten (not in a 'we want to complain about it' way, but when you work with food you can't help but judge most of what you're eating).

Also, Ryan was our server that night. He was awesome, upbeat, and a pleasure to deal with. In regards to the chef, whoever you are, you're bringing some next level food to an area that needs it....

Lets start by saying - I wish we could do this every weekend! Novellas is by far the most superb venue- From the day we went to check it out as a possibility for my daughter and son in laws wedding, to the day of the wedding. Bryce is kind, caring, fun and down to Earth. Everything is taken care of, and then some. Zero worries about anything. Beautiful bridal suite for getting ready and hanging before start of ceremony - cocktails for guests as soon as they come in the door, to have at ceremony - Every single detail with the decor was put out and perfect - In house DJ was so much fun (make sure you get the photo booth!) Every person that was at the wedding is still telling us how it was the best wedding they have ever been too... everyone danced all night.. the food was delicious... every piece... from appetizers to dessert. We had open bar all night, with a normal selection of liquor, not limited .... signature drinks, passed shots... and not to mention- the patios and the inside are absolutely gorgeous. If you're in the need for an incredible venue, by all means contact Novellas- you will not be sorry! I would give 10 stars if I could.
