I was mask-shamed in the Dunkin Donuts at 1208 Route 300 in Newburgh on 4/24/2020. I didn't have a mask because I've been unable to find any, so I've ordered them online and they haven't arrived yet.
I came into a completely empty store, NO customers. I was able to maintain more than a 6 foot distance (which is the Governor's order if you don't have a mask), plus there was a large plastic guard between me and the masked woman behind the counter. When she finally came out and saw me, she said "do you have a mask?", which obviously I didn't, I said no, so she said she wasn't allowed to serve me. I said OK and walked out feeling embarrassed and insulted.
I understand the importance of social distancing as much as anyone. I always practice it, which I was doing in the Dunkin Donuts. If I'm following the rules and the instructions of the Governor, NO ONE should be denied services and treated the way I was treated that day.

Read moreRecently decided to go to the drive through at this Dunkin location, and I ended up regretting it yet again. Firstly, the customer service was terrible, which surprised me considering it was so early in the morning. The girl was on the mic was unbelievably rude. She repeatedly said good morning in a monotone immediately after we pulled up, meanwhile we were still trying to decide what to even order. The cream cheese bagels, which you would think are hard to mess up, were actually burnt and tasted stale. They were inedible. The strawberry lemonade was too sweet and had a weird aftertaste. Awful breakfast and a complete waste of money. I’ve come to this place many times since when it first opened. I gave it so many chances it’s unreal. I’ve been dissatisfied with either my order being messed up or burnt as well as annoyed by the poor customer service. You could say I’ve had a bone to pick with this place for quite some time. Read moreMy daughter and her boyfriend walked into this Dunkin (Newburgh)) location this morning and they were not greeted by friendly faces or manner, the server shay and other employees accused them of ordering incorrectly which by the way they order from Dunkin daily and can distinguish when there coffee or food is not properly prepared and served the employees were very unpleasant and had no customer service skills, they accused them of derogatory words. Shay tried to get other employees to lie and try to manipulate this situation to make it bigger than what was asked of her/ them to please remake it. this is unacceptable and unfortunately not the first negative experience not only myself but others have encountered.
