Let me begin with stating that I was rudely "welcomed" by a tall middle aged asian lady with short hair; Ms. Sourpuss frowned all the way to our table. The idea of the indoor village is fantastic, but there are holes in the ceiling, patched over. There is dust and wires all over the walls and ceiling. After being seated, my family and I realized how hot is was inside; we actually broke into a sweat; talk about cheap owner.... I don't know how they make sushi in a hot environment, doesn't that lead to food poisoning? The servers were sweating a lot, which is gross. Received our drinks, basically the whole cup was filled with Ice, the drink just filled between the spaces between the ice. So cheap with the drinks. No refills! $2.00 for a coke in a small glass, +$2.00 for every refill. Drinks were poorly made, blue hawaiian was green.... ? Pineapple was brown, cherry was wrinkly.... Then, a waiter came, didn't even introduce himself, cuts me off as I'm asking a question about a dish. Not to forget, our chinese server had his underwear coming out the side his pants. He was also sweating profusely. I could see him on his phone in the back room where the rest of the servers were folding napkins. He would stand in the back room and look at other tables making fun of other customers. Snickering with the other servers in the back room. The two sushi guys were eyeing women walking in and laughing. Wonder what they were talking about while they were staring at my girlfriends bottom. Very rude, no tact, no customer service, food was good though; but waaaaaaaaay over priced. The pictures of food they have on their website isn't even of their food!!!! The "rainfall lounge" is a sad joke. Yada yada yada yada, we finished our meals, and our server brought out hot teas, and a coffee.... I went to pour the coffee from the french press into the black cup, and what crawls over my hand from inside of the cup, a small Cockroach. That was absolutely disgusting. I asked for another cup when the waiter walked past, and he rudely responds, "What's wrong with the glass you had??" I said there was a roach in it, he then apologizes, and takes the cup, talking to his other Philipino partner in their language and shaking his head while pointing his fingers at us like we were the ones who did it. I just paid and left. I will never return. I strongly recommend that you avoid this...

The evening started by a non-smiling greeting by Miss Sourpuss. She never smiled from the time she greeted us until she showed us to our table.
We were seated next to a blaring music speaker where the loud music made it impossible to talk. I asked to be moved and were. After the woman who was the evenings entertainment started singing, we realized they didn't move us far enough away. She was awful..off key...monotonus and did not fit in at all to any type of romantic atmosphere. Where did they find her? I'd rather listen to chalk on a blackboard.
We ordered the beef dim sum as the appetizer. Luckily, I looked at them after cutting them because along with the beef ones, there were shrimp ones there also. I have a fish allergy and if I ate that piece of dim sum, the outcome would have not been good.
The Pad Thai that my wife ordered had a very weird taste to it. My Shechaun Beef (I asked for no spice) tasted fine but It appeared the kitchen staff added peppers which was not an ingredient listed in the menu..and I don't care for peppers.
The peanut butter explosion we had for dessert was very good. Little did we know that the dessert would be aptly named later on in the evening.
Ten minutes after leaving, we both developed stomach cramps. We barely made it home when both of us had EXPLOSIONS of another kind for the next two hours. I still had severe stomach cramps the next day.
Now I have written over 250 published restaurant reviews and I don't think our problem was caused by food poisoning but I believe it was caused by some type of unsanitary conditions or improper food handling.
I also want to mention I emailed YOBO within two hours of returning home. I included my email address and phone number and no one was courteous enough to contact me. I guess they don't care that much about their...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would...but I'll give it to the waitress Alexis because she was good. If you have kids (or even if you don't) don't go here. The manager came over and told us our 10 month old and 1 year old were being too loud. They literally made a few sounds expressing themselves and getting excited because they obviously can't speak actual words yet. The manager told us "maybe if you play with them, they'll be quieter" ......seriously?? Thank you for the advice lol Don't worry we won't be back to bother your other guests (even though they didn't seem to care) I hope none of your kids or grandkids get treated the way you treated us. Maybe you should get rid of the highchairs because you're not going to have the completely silent restaurant you're looking for with any children in it. The owner and other manager lied and blamed the complaint on a table then we were told by other staff members it was actually coming directly from the manager. She couldn't throw herself under the bus though. We were also paying customers with a very big tab and should have left when we knew we weren't welcome. We will be sure to pass this along to the hotel staff so they don't recommend it to anyone. Horrible experience and so unprofessional!!
Not to mention the restaurant was super dusty and there were multiple chips in the plates and ceramic spoons.. that...
