Panera Bread — Restaurant in Town of Newburgh

UPDATE 10/26/2021 - internet was down!!! and bathroom was not as clean as my last visit. I actually saw unflushed paper towels in the one stall (why do people do this??) and the other stall the toilet seat had visible ??? on it that was tough to wipe off with toilet paper. eww. I peed here but hovered. Then I left to find another place to work. This was over lunch hour.

I haven't been here since before the pandemic. It was the same as I remembered but now they have pizza and Chinese food? (Ok flatbread and teriyaki broccoli but still). I had the Greek salad and squash soup both were just as good as I remembered.they had almond milk for my coffee and the cup for water was double the size it used to be. All good stuff. At the end of my meal there was a little fruit fly hanging around which I could have done without. It was crawling on my phone when I was trying to get to my review page. It's gone now. Ok now the bathroom...two stalls. Hot water in sink. Not touchless soap dispenser but plenty of soap in it. Touchless paper towel dispenser which was empty when my friend was in there but full when I was...that means they are servicing it regularly or I got lucky. The stalls both had some sort of crumpled paper on the floor...was it left there since the paper was refilled or was that not part of the servicing? There was a rubber stripping around the stall doors...did someone complain that waiting patrons were peeping? Well it was definitely an after market addition added with duct tape so I guess I'm glad they responded to whatever complaint led to this add on. Here's a tip for all paneras... If you activate the paper towel to come out and grab it with both hands as it is being dispensed, you can pull on it and get a lot more paper towels. More bang for your buck. I placed a rapid order and it was missing some ingredients. I contacted the manager, Amanda, who was wonderfully and refreshingly sweet and apologetic. Not only did she remake me the sandwich but also offered me a drink or something else for the inconvenience. She was super sweet the entire time on the phone and even in person. Well, the remake of the sandwich was also missing an ingredient and she was once again, super sweet with no hint of annoyance in her voice or demeanor. While the sandwich(es) we’re just missing items vs having extra random items thrown in I still enjoyed it very much. When I informed her of the missing ingredient for the remade sandwich, and just requested a small side of it so I can add it on, she actually brought it out to me when it was ready. And then proceeded to again offer me something for my double inconvenience. Amanda has a wonderful personality and vibe to her and truly is the perfect example of ensuring the best customer service experience you could want. I genuinely appreciated her professionalism and how she actually seemed to truly care and was ready to remedy it without any hesitation and go above and beyond by offering even more. We went to Panera Newburgh NY today September 25 2025 at 3:55 PM. I asked for a Swiss cheese and turkey sandwich toasted on chibatta bread. I asked for just an American cheese sandwich same bread toasted no meat. The girl Jocelynn reads back my order. I said no that's not what I asked for. I repeated it all over again. And she reads it back wrong. After the 4th try she finally gets it right. So we wait and guess what!!! The order is wrong. I get what she repeated to me.
