Hadn't heard great reviews of YMH prior to my first visit. Unfortunately it seems the opinions of those who informed me may have been warranted.

While my wing appetizer was well seasoned and tasted great, the burger I ordered medium was very much well done. One of my companions ordered a steak, also medium. However his experience was quite the opposite, with his steak delivered rare despite being last to the table well after everyone else's meal had arrived. His plate was sent back, and upon return was still not cooked correctly.

While our waitress was attentive and apologetic she was very much let down by the kitchen which soured our experience.

Wait time was about 45 minutes, which was reasonable considering the day and time. What was not reasonable is the receiving staff losing our information, and we were lucky enough to have spoken with a manager initially who remembered we had been awaiting a table.

On the subject of waiting, FAR too many people, too close together clustered around the entrance just inside the door by the reception desk? Seating attendant? The little booth for taking names for tables. They were wearing masks, unfortunately some chin diapers as well, and it was very much an effort to get through the crowd to the seating area. Not a welcome sight.

Tables were clean and those seated were well spaced apart.

On the whole, I understand that as humans we're allowed to have an off time. This was several poor experiences in just one visit though and the only person who seemed to be making the best of her situation was our waitress who came back frequently and made sure we were tended to and never let her smile fade.

I'd go back, eventually. Not for a...

This was a very disappointing and sad visit to this restaurant. For starters, there was no running air conditioning, it was colder outside than inside the building (it’s 91° outside). We arrived an hour and a half before close and when our server came to take our drink orders we were rushed to place the entire order as “the kitchen was about to close”. My girlfriend tried to order a milkshake and we were told the ice cream machine was broken (hard to believe in this case). We ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a honky tonk burger. My burger was fine but the pulled pork came out barely even warm, extremely dry, the warmest part to the sandwich was the bbq sauce. The coleslaw was lukewarm and tasted off. A busser served our food not even the server and we timed that it took between 20-25 minutes after our food was served for the server to check up on us (after waving down a bus boy in another section and asking him to please find our waitress after spending nearly 10 minutes trying to wave her down). We were trying to get a refill on our drinks because it was hot and dipping sauces to enjoy our fries. By the time we got the refill on drinks and sauces, fries were cold, and I was nearly finished with my burger. Our server didn’t make any checks on our table. We sat around after finishing for 15 minutes trying to flag her down to get the bill. My girlfriend didn’t eat her pulled pork sandwich because it was just cold, sad, dry, and not enjoyable at all. We didn’t bother trying to get a manager because we wanted to get out of the heat and it didn’t seem like anybody was around. I would understand inattentive service if it was super busy but there were maybe a total of 4 tables...

Charlie Brown's was a regular place for my family, but you would never know that Your Mother's House used to be Charlie Brown's. Except for maybe a sign for the restroom(pic below), that's pretty much the only thing that's the same. My mom and I went because it was her birthday and we had been wanting to go since they opened. I don't really remember Charlie Brown's so when we went in, I asked my mom if the place looked familiar and she couldn't believe that it was the same restaurant. It was pretty warm, but our waitress turned the heat off(she looked thankful when we asked because she seemed hot too). For the appetizer, we got the Cheese Sliders without the BBQ mayo. It was good and also gave us a clue as to what the burgers would be like. For dinner, I got the 2 Lobster Tails. It comes with either Chicken Corn Chowder or a salad. Because of the E. Coli with the lettuce, I got the soup. It was really good. I didn't realize that my meal also came with a side, so I quickly chose the mashed potatoes. They were so over garlicky that I didn't even taste the potato. My mom and I both got it with our entrees, and neither of us liked it(and I like garlic more than my mom). She got the Half-Roast Chicken with BBQ. She really liked the chicken. For dessert, she got the Dough Sundae and I got the Fried Oreos. I really liked the fried oreos. It felt like I was at one of the Italian Feasts that there are over the summer. She thought that the fried oreos were a little on the soft side. The milkshakes sound so good, but not this time. The menu is so big and so much sounds good, that we are going to have to go multiple times to be able to try everything that we want to.

I walked in on a Sunday afternoon at 12 for brunch . Y party of 3 was seated immediately. The brunch special is $30 and consists of an entree with 1 1/2 hour of bottomless drinks (the menu is attached to see selections) the drinks are interchangeable but my friend and I both got the margarita. The drinks were tasty and had a little kick and the girls across from us had the sangria which they said were good as well . My friend had the 222 combo , I had the burrito and my son had strawberry pancakes. I didn’t enjoy the burrito as much as I thought I would but the home fries it came with was good . My son said the pancakes tasted a little burnt so he didn’t finish . My friend enjoyed her meal and had no complaints. The palace started to get packed around 130 since it’s a really popular place for sports theres a big sports section. Our waiter was very attentive and made sure to bring out drinks as we asked . He even told us when or time was running out in case we wanted another one which we appreciated. I took away some stars because there were absolutely NO barriers between tables which I was a little uncomfortable with and mask wearing was not enforced at all which I found odd . Other than those things everything else was cool . I would definitely come again for brunch but try a different food option. Pop in if you’re looking for cool eats on a budget. Happy eating 😋🍽
