Restaurant looked nice and clean and the staff was courteous especially if you know them. As I was eating, I was watching the staff doing everything for the older Korean lady whom I assume they all know each other from church or something. They initially served a hot corn tea which was nice since it was cold out. I ordered a lunch set for $17 which came with bulgogi, choice of rice, salad, dumpling, and beef soft tofu stew. They also brought out some banchan (small side dishes) which included kimchi, seasoned purple cabbage, seaweed with sushi sauce, seasoned bean sprouts and acorn tofu (I think). The bulgogi and the stew were tasty. The banchan was ok. They were mostly under seasoned. Also, since this is my first time visiting, I don't know if they rotate their banchan throughout the season. It was a typical Korean restaurant. The price was as expected as well as things they offered (grilled meat which most cost $30 plus, stews, bulgogi,...
Read moreThe worst korean food I've ever tasted. I scratch my head at how it stays in business. The side dishes are the worst, I'm sorry. I hope they switch out their chef soon. Its tragic to see a korean restaurant represent amazing cuisine in this way. Almost disrespectful.
Update:
Fast forward five years, I gave this place another try since I’ve heard the owner revamped the menu. Let’s just say, just stick to the meat. Other items on the menu need a lot of work. I really wish they can nail the side dishes but it’s odd variation of least interesting ones that lack authentic flavors. What I really don’t like is some waitresses there every time I go. One of them is not friendly and it’s such a turn off. It deters me from going, honestly. But the manager always has a smile and is willing to serve.
But the great thing is the space. Plenty of space to bring large groups of friends. It’s always a plus with kids. And kids will always...
Read moreAte here for dinner, ordered bbq meat set and rice cake dumpling soup. When the rice cake dumpling soup came out, it did not look appetizing first of all, but I noticed there were soggy “fried” dumplings in there. And it is NOT supposed to be fried, so I asked the waitress if they put fried dumplings in their rice cake soup. She said NO. Then why is there fried dumplings in my rice cake soup?? She quickly takes it away and says she’ll investigate. Comes back and says the spanish worker probably made a mistake. No, they reuse leftover fried dumplings from other peoples tables, and put it in the rice cake soup hoping the customer doesn't notice. I cancelled the order, and at this point nothing seemed appetizing. Service was horrible. No apology from owner or manager. The rice cake soup was not taken off the check, so I had to remind them again. Honestly, this restaurant will never be...
