The negative reviews about long waits and slow food are missing the obvious: you went during opening week at prime dinner hours on a Friday/Saturday. Of course it was going to be slammed and of course the wait was going to be long. I went on a Wednesday around 8pm and had no issue with anything. I was seated immediately and got my food fast as well. They were actually very accommodating, I had asked to switch to the cushion seat tables as I have a bad lower back and they said no problem and moved me. I ordered the donkatsu as they didn’t have this at the Fort Lee or Palisades Park locations. Honestly it’s now my go-to order from here, it seriously blew my expectations from a jjajangmyun place. The donkatsu was tender inside and crispy outside, the sauce that paired was almost like a perfect blend of sweet and savory. Also got the kangpungi (I think this is how it’s spelled?) it was also really good, super crispy. The “vibe” and the environment was nice. Forgot to ask but I noticed there’s a bar area so I’m assuming they sell alcohol. But overall great experience with staff and food. I definitely will be coming back for the donkatsu!

For around here… pretty decent. Unless you want to take a 20 min ride down to Fort Lee/Palisades. Went here with my kids during soft opening. The staff def have to get into their flow. But every new restaurant does. So it’s forgivable. The staff was friendly and were fast to please though I wasn’t sure they had enough people for the rush that they probably weren’t expecting. I went two nights in a row and it went from a few tables to a packed night. Night and day. Coming from experience they’ll def need to get their flow. But like I said, that’s why you have soft openings,… to iron out the wrinkles. The food was solid. My kids were happy and around here I’d consider it pretty good. We tried a few different dishes and everything was tasty. Ambiance is nice. Real clean and bright. The place has a bit of air to it also and doesn’t feel claustrophobic. Feels bigger than other places and the chairs… comfortable. I’ll be back again to see if they’ve improved. But from the friendliness of the staff, solid food and a clean atmosphere, I’d say we have a winner.

Ample parking, clean bathroom, and friendly staff — that’s the main reason I’m giving 3 stars. However, the place is very understaffed. I understand it’s busy since it’s a new opening, but the service is extremely slow and the food took way too long to come out. As for the food, it’s honestly one of the worst Korean-Chinese restaurants I’ve tried. The Jjampong had no real flavor other than just being spicy. The Tangsuyuk was undercooked and the portion was quite small. The seafood soup(?) was almost a joke. They really need to revisit and change their recipes if they want people to come back.

We were seated and placed our order and then we were told 5 minutes later that the fan is actually broken in the kitchen and they would not be able to cook until 20 minutes later. We decided to wait since we were already there but not much apology was offered.

The food came out 35 minutes later. Again, no apology. Meanwhile, they didn’t bring my child a water cup so I asked and they literally brought just a cup with no water. At the end of the meal we asked for containers to take home leftovers and we had to ask 3 different times because she did not take a look at how many were needed and proceeded to bring one container each time. So much is lacking in the service on top of it being slow.

Ordered steamed dumplings twice and both orders came out with raw doughy ends. The brisket in my soup dish tasted old and was tough like it was old meat. The fried rice was very oily.

Even though the Palisades Park one is further I would much rather take my business there than this...
