American Beauty Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

We really had high expectations for this place. We were dining with my Mom to celebrate the new year and my son was really looking forward to the beef Wellington. We dined for 2 and 1/2 hours - while normally that could be a good thing if the service was attentive, it was completely the opposite. The Service was absolutely awful. We needed to get up multiple times to see where our drinks / food were. We were put in a corner "out of sight, out of mind..." My daughter ordered rigatoni, and after the four of us were provided with our entrees, the waitress told us that there was no more rigatoni. Miraculously (five minutes later) there was rigatoni... The beef Wellington was served with a butter knife, are you kidding me? We had to request a steak knife from the hostess because the waitress was nowhere to be found. Dirty dishes were left on our table for an extreme amount of time. Waitress didn't check up on us and was not apologetic and seemed apathetic when we complained. Hostess was more attentive. While food was good, we do not plan to return. Venture at your own risk!

With regards to asking for a manager, we did and were told there was no manager available onsite...

If you are looking for a delicious meal, fantastic drinks, and a fun night out, then you have to check out American Beauty in the Park. Every time I eat here, it's better than the last! The food is SO good, the drinks are the prefect blend, and the servers are super friendly/knowledge.

I recently went here with some girlfriends, and our waitress Dee was like one of the girls. She laughed with us, made jokes, and gave the absolute best recommendations for each one of us after listening to our likes/dislikes. I ordered the salmon, and my friends got the beef wellington and pistachio lamb, and we all shared. Each dish was cooked to perfection, and Dee did a great job in her suggestions. She also suggested some drink options. Usually I am boring with a simple glass of wine, but this night Dee was talking up the cocktails, and I couldn't resist. I had some sort of coconut concoction that went down so smoothly!

Can't wait to go back with my friends or husband soon. Hoping we get to sit in...

Arrived at 12:30. Waitress was very sweet but seemed very inexperienced. Took at least 20 minutes to get drinks and water. Took 75 minutes to get our main courses. Waitress told us twice that food was coming any minute (food arrived 20 minutes after my second request). I had to bring check inside since the waitress didn’t come back out to get my credit card. We sat outside and every other table (they were seated after us), got their food at least 20 minutes before we did (they had different waitstaff). Food was good but I wouldn’t have come here if I had known wait would be so long. No sign of any management keeping tabs on what was going on. Waitress did bring us second soda/ice tea while we were waiting for our food - but I had only ordered water so that’s all I had for 75 minutes (and I was hungry when I arrived) so I can’t say I was in a good mood when food...
