XBAR Lounge and Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

I discovered X BAR a year ago when it had opened. I hadn’t ever socialized in Farmingdale before discovering X BAR and I was immediately drawn to how it set itself apart from any other bars, lounges, etc. in the area. Truly, it has a unique aesthetic, overall vibe and energy that sets itself apart from anywhere else on Long Island, NY. X BAR fulfills a complete experience that checks all of the boxes; from tasty drinks, top quality bar food, the latest music with constantly rotated DJ’s, perfectly crafted hookah and a spacious space with luxe VIP tables, sexy lounging areas and a modernized bar area. The colorful display of custom lighting, signs and entertainment features all make for a memorable night out! The selfie station is a nice touch to capture the mood and remember the night! The crowd is always very diverse and welcoming to all customers! Their friendly, fun and outgoing vibe keeps you wanting to come back for more fun for their next event! I was excited to try XBAR but was unfortunately disappointed. They posted on Instagram about a Music on Main Afterparty that tequila and green tea shots were $4; doors open at 8pm. When I received the bill I was charged $10 for a tequila shot and $14 for 2 green tea shots. When I mentioned the Instagram post to the bartender she said that I had to tell her before I ordered it (but that instruction was not included on the post). She offered to refund it which I agreed to, but she came back with her manager who told me that the $4 shot deal was only during Music on Main (it was past 10pm when I ordered the shots). I visited Blue Hawaiian with a good friend last Friday and at the age of 25 I finally felt what real elegance feels like. To begin, the reservation was an experience that brought value to your time and theirs. With that said don't be late, that they will not be either. The entrance was super detailed and gave each individual an equal importance. The education and the preparation by the chefs on each individual course was remarkable and just a work of art. The service was also very attentive without being intrusive. Blue Hawaiian, is place that Sushi meets elegance, relaxation and over all art. I will return! Bravo...
