Guac Shop Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

Would absolutely never order from here unless it was through the store directly and even that’s a stretch. On cinco de mayo, waited over 2 hours at the store to pick up an order, to be told that their door dash app had apparently “been turned off this whole time” completely opposite what the young woman working had just told everyone, when she said “all door dash orders and delivery service orders are being made. We are very backed up it will be an extra 30 minutes” causing delivery drivers who were already at the store, waiting on orders that the app told them were ready to pick up to have to cancel orders that they had spent LOTS of time waiting for, after being told they were being made during that time (which they were not seeing as the app was turned off and not a single worker noticed) again, I can understand how busy it was considering it was cinco de mayo but, it was truly a bit unacceptable and costly mistake considering many delivery drivers lost out on money not only on the orders they were waiting for and then directed by the store to cancel AND on other orders they missed out on while waiting during this mess. Not a single person effected was offered so much as a voucher towards a free drink for their troubles. Families waiting HOURS for food they were being TOLD WAS BEING MADE, while the app sat there, apparently “turned off and not submitting orders” whole situation was a nightmare and again, i understand it was a very busy day and hectic given the current circumstances of the world but this was horrible...

Booked our wedding reception here at the guac shop. We wanted something small, low-key and hassle free for our big day and our brother stumbled upon their party room! We received an informative tour and we’re able to book our date and time easily! The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and so helpful!! The day of, they made it really easy for our florist and wedding planner to set up and the space complimented the celebration in an unexpectedly beautiful way (especially their preexisting floral wall piece)!! The food was hot and ready for us and the party attendant was so friendly, helpful, attentive and just so much fun to have celebrate along with us and serve our dear guests!! Ordered through chowdown and Paid for 2 scoops of chicken and 6 shrimps today and I am a thousand % sure it only had one scoop. Also when I walked in for pickup the short stubby guy working had no customer service training at all. I walk in and he acknowledged me saying "what" like I was there asking for free food. I need change a few things and I am sure the reviews will improve....until then I'll think twice about going back.

Just had food from here again today 12.1.23 which I ordered online and it was ridiculous what I got for $16...chicken and extra shrimp.. There was hardly any chicken in it. I won't be ordering online again. If I do ever go in store and order from here again, it better be more chicken or else I won't pay...
