It’s been years since I stepped into a red lobster. I decided to visit because of the new menu, specifically the sea food boil. I have never done one and I kept seeing it online, along with the new menu offerings/ revamp. We ordered happy hour mozzarella sticks, and they were yummy (I forgot to take a picture of the basket before we devoured it 😂). My hubby, who doesn’t like seafood and came for me, ordered a sirloin cut of steak, fries and broccoli. Hubby said he enjoyed the cut of steak and how it was cooked. Hubby also ordered a happy hour marg and he enjoyed it. I ordered the mariner’s seafood boil and a side of broccoli. I also asked for the old bay Parmesan sauce and asked if the sauce put on the boil could be put on the side, as I am watching my salt/ calorie intake. The seafood boil itself is 600 calories but the included sauces brought the calories up to 1200-1500 calories. When I received the seafood boil, I was able to add the old bay Parmesan seasoning as I liked it and that sauce was 400 calories. It was the first time I tried a seafood boil and I really enjoyed it. The server, Victoria, was kind and attentive. She seemed to have a lot of tables. The cheddar biscuits were even better than I remembered and I’m bummed we only had one round. The decor is the same as it’s been and the lighting dim, it can give off a romantic vibe at night but in the day, it leaves you craving light. Overall great experience back after years.

A red lobster is a red lobster. You should know what you are getting while coming here food wise and its not much. This is a place you bring your parents, your children. But if you want an exciting culinary delight this is the wrong place. There is no seasoning on any of the food. Nothing. You know what a meal at red lobster is like? A lobster tail and lots of shrimp. That's it. Ranging from 20 to 30 dollars. There are more interesting and better places to go to get lobster or seafood. This gets three stars because the everything else was fine. The waitresses were great, the place was clean, I got biscuits, it was quick. But when you go here it will be a noisy hellish experience. I went when it nobody there and there were still several famlies with crying babies. Still. There was still banging next to the booth I was placed next. Theres is awful music, yesterdays pop hits, playing over the speakers. Nothing offensive or good. The salads are overdone, too much dressing. The biscuits are nostalgic but also stale. The entree I got myself was good, but basic. So basic. There is nothing risky on the menu. Your seasoning is butter. The seafood seemed tender and juicy and the lobster was good. But again basic. Don't go here if you want something exciting or out of the norm. Go here if you want to know what its like to go to a cafeteria that serves lobster.

Surpsingly satisfied with my meal from here. I'm not big on chain restaurants, and I hadn't eaten at Red Lobster in about 22 years, but that's where I ended up. I started with the spicy calamari appetizer. The flavor was really good. The texture was pretty good as well. Very commercialized calamari but pretty good overall. Much better than what I was expecting. For my main, I got the endless shrimp special. I tried the fried shrimp, shrimp scampi, salt and vinegar shrimp, shrimp Skewer, and the coconut shrimp. The only one I didn't really enjoy was the coconut shrimp. Way too sweet and a bit on the dry side. All the others were really good. My favorites were probably the salt and vinegar or the fried. All in all, I would say don't write this place off. Although it's a chain, the food was good, the service was excellent, and the prices were right. Also. . . The cheddar bay biscuits are still amazing. I could fill up on those alone.

First time there but will also be our last time to Hicksville Red Lobster. Friday night 12/1/2023 7PM server AXX took our orders without offering any guidance or pretending to be helpful or care about her job or customer satisfaction. Strike One: I was obviously fumbling back and forth on their menu looking for signs of pasta, server AXX stood by the table motionlessly without offering any help just watching me asking Husband where he saw the pasta, what pasta dishes they have, etc. When I finally asked server AXX what their pasta dishes are, she just quickly blurted out the dish names as if anyone can grasp that mumble jumble. Strike Two: With two hungry and not-so-placate toddlers, we saw the kids' meals so we decisively ordered two entrees from the kids' meal to hopefully get them started first. Called our server AXX back immediately within 5 minutes to ask her to add the two sides and milk to complete the kids' meal but to no avail. AXX simply offered no explanation but said, "No, you cannot add sides or drink now" and "Yes, you will still be charged the full amount for the kids' meal." HOW RIDICULOUSLY OBSCENE IS THIS?! I don't understand; we are not even changing their kids' meal entrees, we simply just want to add two sides and two milk that should've come together with the kids meals in the first place! All we have grown accustomed to is when we order a meal that comes with multiple parts, we were always tirelessly reminded by the server, "would you like to add a side?" "would you like to add a drink?" Even McDonalds' drive-thru would ask you, "what's your side? and what's the drink?" when you order a chicken nugget Happy Meal. Yes, our incompetence not knowing where their pasta dishes are on the menu; yes, our oversight not knowing the kids' meal also include a side and milk. But a server in the human service business without caring for your patrons, compassion for the young visitors or pride to serve your food should be banned from all human-based services. Please re-train and re-evaluate this server AXX, for her lack of professionalism and passion (or just basic human decency) will plant a cancerous seed in jeopardizing your business if it...

Do yourself a favor and go to Carle Place instead. Service - starting with the hostess who seemed completely lost and confused with how to do her job - to the manager who disappeared once it got “busy” is among the worst I have ever experienced!! The only one who was working his but off and had a personality for the hospitality business was the young male bartender.

We joined the wait list (15 min wait) about 10 mins before arriving… only to be told 20 mins when we got there… so where was our place in line? Oh — and there were people waiting all around while there were plenty of open tables. The hostess — the one that was lost — kept disappearing for 5 mins at a time, only to return to more people waiting in line to get a table. When our turn came to be seated — we were lead right to a table that had been vacant and clean since we arrived!! So why the freaking 20 min wait? And this was a Thursday night at 630pm — and the place was not busy by any stretch of the imagination. Would hate to think what they do on a Saturday night!!

After our meal - which was decent - nothing spectacular but then again, it’s Red Lobster — chain seafood… but it was where my 14 year old daughter wanted to go for her birthday dinner (for the crab!) — we waited about 30 mins to get our bill — and only after I finally caught our server’s eye — he would only take care of one table at a time — as if he was incapable of checking on his other tables after taking an order or dropping off drinks, etc — perhaps because he too was lost and confused.

I decided to forego my 10% off reward to avoid confusing the server and having to wait another 30 minutes to be able to pay and finally get the hell out of there. 2.5 hours for dinner from arrival to departure at a casual, chain restaurant that was not busy and had plenty of empty tables is simply ridiculous.

You need to do better Red Lobster Hicksville NY or you will soon be closing your doors for good. I for one will never return to...

UNACCEPTABLE TREATMENT BY INCOMPETENT MEAN (old blonde haired woman) WAITER(S) They gave food to the wrong people, then took it back and gave it to the right people after it was messed over! It was my sis surprise brunch party hosted by a close cousin which started with a bang (cousin & sis hubby who kept her in suspense, did an amazing job) bc she was really surprised & cried along with my oldest nephew! Majority of invitees had arrived so the party was on! My sisters & I are familiar with 2 of the waiters fm the past! Everyone was given the “set menu” to order fm & some ordered fm the main menu too! The initial issues arose fm there being no organization with the set menus! A waiter grabbed them up w/o making sure each the # they were given so there wouldn’t be any mix ups! By the time I got the so called Cajun Chicken Linguine Alfredo, there was a spoon in my food which told me someone else had my food! Normally I would’ve complained & I wouldn’t have eaten the food or paid for nothing, h/e I didn’t want to be a Debby downer so I kept it to myself! Plus I also noticed that all 3 waiters were confused & bringing plates to the wrong tables until everyone had what they selected after many mix ups! I ate 1/2 my food and ended up in the bathroom off and on for hours, then I learned that others had the same issue afterwards! To top it off, they had the bill a mess bc the head waiter didn’t stick to the plan and she allowed things to get mixed up & cause confusion! Later the same blonde haired older woman who always does the party area was sitting making faces at everyone as we took pictures with my parents, sisters, family and friends! There was no confrontation and no one said anything snarky the entire time they messed up bringing the orders, but she had nerve to make faces at us like she...
