Momo express — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

Just came across this truck and had their chicken momos. They were great. They had a bit of an issue with the grill (for tandoori momos), but they were very nice and apologized for the issue, offered to refund me AND give me the steamed dumplings instead of the tandoori. But they said that the issue was resolved, if I wanted to wait a bit longer. Only thing is, I would suggest that they update the customers on any issues after 15 minutes or so. I waited 30+ minutes and had to walk back to the truck to ask for an update. Its okay, I understand that its their first day - but definitely be aware of wait times.

While, I would have given them 5 stars, regardless of the wait (which was an isolated incident), I had to take some points off for the pricing.

$14 + tax for 5 momo/dumplings is VERY expensive and steep. I get it, Long Island vs Queens, doesn't matter. I owned a store myself and we offered 8 dumplings for $12. I think they need to lower their prices or add more momo/dumplings for the price. Additionally, this is a food truck vs a storefront. The overhead for a food truck is less, so you can definitely afford to keep the prices lower and more reasonable.

But taste wise, as I said, they were great. But I don't think I would be buying them too often (or at all) at that price point.

Haven't tried their other stuff yet, probably will revisit them again to try some of their other things. But they really need to adjust their prices for...

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I really wanted to like this place, but the experience was honestly terrible. The momos were soggy, stale, and completely disappointing. That’s the bare minimum, and they couldn’t even get that right. On top of that, the service was ridiculously slow. It took almost an hour for our order to show up, and for what? Food that tasted off from the first bite. If you actually care about quality or getting your food in a reasonable amount of time, save yourself the frustration and go to Momo Stop around the corner instead. They’re fresh, fast, and miles better than...

Such a wonderful meal that i had, can't resist. I missed "Delhi ka Taste", until i had tried your Steam and Tandoori Momos. The burger i had was the next level.

The question is how you guy makes such wonderful treats?? I would love to come over and over to your truck to have the refreshing taste.
