This Hannaford is just Crazyland. The dudes and dudettes working the "Self-Service" checkout counters are just too dim to ever just get the idea of Self-Service. They just rudely strongarm themselves onto your screen without warning, for no reason at all, even when you tell them "NO" several times. Again and again.
Simple good manners of any store clerk in the US for centuries of simply asking "May I help you, Sir/Ms.?" these dimwits could not ever manage to do to save their lives!!! In my repeated and overwhelming experience.
This is customer abuse pure and simple. For 50 years in the USA every legal and legitimate business is required to make sure no customer is ever even exposed to this typical Hannaford behavior.
Walmart 4 minutes away can do it reliably employing the same local people.
Hannaford never does it, seems to me.
Hey, one can buy a lot of good food, treats, and swag from Russian and Chinese mafia operated stores in New York State. But the Mafia typically makes their "legitimate" businesses act and appear legitimate.
This Hannaford very much appears to be far below that Mafia standard. With these dudes and dudettes.
Well, if you like that sort...
Read moreThis is my go-to grocery store because it is generally less crowded, but they really need to do a better job of checking for outdates. As well, the produce section is not always the freshest or best stocked.
I go here because of the convenient location and the less busy atmosphere, but sometimes have to go to market 32 for specific items as this Hannaford location does not do a great job of stocking up for sales items. Very often items on sale are sold out the very first day of the sale.
I usually try to shop late in the evening and I wish the fresh meat and seafood department stayed open later. They close that department too early.
Employees are generally very nice, but not impressed with management as I've had issues that were poorly handled. Nothing major, but just a complete lack of caring by upper management.
Prices here are more than Walmart, but less...
Read moreNot impressed. I shop here every week and it’s usually a good trip. But today it was not. Cashier #5 and her bagger need to be trained on customer etiquette. I asked the bagger if she could put the toilet paper under cart in front. Not a word or movement to do that. The the potato chips fell out of the bag in the cart, then a loaf of bread fell out of the cart. Bagger did nothing to pick them up. I moved cart forward to pick up the bread, chips and put the toilet paper under the cart. I turned around and there was the cashier sitting there leaning on her arm. I looked at her and she just reached out her arm with receipt but no comment like thank you, please come again. I thanked the bagger who definitely did not want to be there. She didn’t respond. If they don’t like their jobs then they need to quit and get someone else who is appreciative of the...
