We always have an excellent time at 99 in Plattsburgh, New York. What a great staff, drinks are reasonably priced and the food is always excellent. I’d give them 10 stars if I could. Update-January 23, 2025 my wife and I had a herb garlic butter top New York strip with french fries. I ordered the fries extra extra crispy. These are by far the best french fries in Northern New York and Vermont one cooked this way. Make sure you order them Extra extra crispy and tell them Brian told you so! We visit this restaurant at least 4 to 5 days a week. I highly recommend 99 restaurants to anybody.
January 2, 2025-update. I don’t wanna sound like a broken record, but I’m having a French onion soup and it’s probably one of the best French soups I’ve had. I’m 59 years old and I certainly have dined at some very exclusive restaurants around the world. This is very good. Make sure you put it on your to do list!
Update again, February 22, 2025. Just ordered the turkey sub club and had it delivered to our seats at the bar. Can you believe how much turkey they gave us on this one? Wow! Again, I’m just a patron I do not have any endorsement or support from 99 restaurants, I just love coming here. The sandwich is amazing and Mike our bartender was awesome. Make sure you put this as a destination for lunch or dinner, fun and drinks. Very family, friendly, very customer oriented! Three Michelin stars if I could give them.
Thank you for the kind words! My wife and I truly enjoy dining at your establishment from Plattsburgh. Congratulations to the 99 corporation for having to build a brand and a restaurant to exceed most any expectations!

Go up 1 rarity level on your steak. Every time I order "medium" steak I get bloody, rare steak. So if you want a medium that's still juicy, go with medium-well at least.
Stay away from the "seafood trio" thing. The baked thing that comes with shrimp, scallops and some white fish. The scallops are actually ok. But I've gotten undercooked shrimp AND bones in the fish a couple times now. I'm over it. It's like 50/50 as to whether it'll be good or not. When it's good, it's good. But when it's bad it could make you puke by being soggy, grainy, have pieces of shrimp tail or bone in it. So my opinion, don't risk it. Stay away from shrimp and steak. If you want good steak, go to Texas Roadhouse. 99 does fish pretty well, their WHOLE portions of fish. Go with the salmon or haddock.
Stop forcing people to tip on pickup orders. Since you don't specify WHO that tip goes to, why would I give 15% of $85 to anyone? Is it for the kitchen staff? Is it for the chick who takes 60 seconds to run my food out? Does the company steal it? Who knows? I prefer tipping in person if I'm going to tip at all. Delivery drivers excluded. Personally I think tips are ridiculous. Everyone should be paid a fair wage and tipping should be abolished. No one should have to...
Had called in advance to see if they were open Christmas Eve and they said yes. We arrived and they said they were closing in 15 minutes. My family had suffered great loss the past year losing my father and grandmother within 3 months time. We weren't up to having a large gathering at home. I had travelled 2 hours to meet my family at 99 in Saratoga Springs/Wilton. The manager on duty, seemed very new in my opinion, did nothing to help. By time we had all arrived we had 10 minutes to order and eat. He made no attempt to help us. He said first, when my brother had arrived that he had said there were four, he didn't know that my daughter and other brother and sister in law we're able to come. He said then it was eight. By then I had had enough. We were trying to make the most of our first Christmas without my father and grandmother. We had to drive to Clifton Park to Olive Garden where we were treated beautifully. That added another 1/2 hour to my drive and I still had a 2 1/2 hour drive back home Christmas Eve. So I do not recommend 99 at the...
