Burrito Bob's — Restaurant in Town of Potsdam

I was really excited to have a Mexican place to order DoorDash from! 1st time, was an in person visit opening week. It was alright…but the food lacked flavor. Second time, I ordered DoorDash & it was after they had been open for a few months. The burrito was STILL very bland! How can u serve Mexican food and make it BLAND?!?! I didn’t think that was possible. Also, there was guacamole on it, as requested. I ordered extra sour cream bcuz I asked for guacamole…so without it, all I had was a mouthful of sour cream. YUCK!

Service was ok…but when I called just to let them know my order was messed up (didn’t want a refund, just thought I’d make them aware) nobody bothered to answer the phone! My husband knows the owner…but I didn’t feel comfortable having him contact him, as it wasn’t personal…it was business. Anyway, I was debating ordering again, now that they’re at their new location…until I saw the reviews. It looks like I’m not the only customer that has had these same issues here. I would recommend they hire someone who knows how to season their meat better…since bobs talents seem to lie more in customer relations than seasoning food at this point lol. Maybe an actual Mexican, so they can claim to be authentic!! JS.

Otherwise ..the food was fine! It wasn’t bad…just, it wasn’t up to my standards...

Overpriced! Charged $ 11.89 for beef burrito with little beef (glass of water for drink) + $ 2.86 for Queso + i gave a $2.95 tip without a waitress (order at counter) + tax $1.18. Total = $18.88. i paid using their EMV tap card reader. All toppings were wrapped in burrito. i wanted like a meal with burrito toppings over it and rice & beans on side like most Mexican restaurants. Finally, i'm not sure about this issue but the very next business day, there were 2 separate charges from DoorDash totaling $ 82.37! i have never used DD and obviously ate my burrito there, so there was no delivery. Again, i am not sure about this but it looks like their tap reader may have been shimmed stealing my Visa card info notified Bob by email, but have not received a reply yet. With so many of these hacking events, i may have to go way back to payments by...

Bland. Everything was just bland. Very much so a white, suburban, soccer mom's, HOA president version of Mexican food. The meat was tender, but I couldn't taste the difference between the pork and the beef. The queso was definitely from a can and microwaved. I've worked in a prison and had their food, I was forced to eat MREs for years in the Army, I've accidentally drank from a water bottle that was used as an ash tray, all three had more flavor than the food I had here. My girlfriend's burrito bowl had next to no meat in it and was just as bland as my food. No servers at all, you use a kiosk at the entrance, pay before hand, then the kiosk asks you for a tip. If I have to stand to up while placing an order, chances are that I'm not tipping. I did leave a tip, but that was before tasting the bland,...
