Reliable, quick, and solid. Exactly what you’d expect from a takeout place next to a college. Sesame chicken is a winner. Doesn’t really have the charm to eat in, but you certainly could if needed because there’s plenty of space. While many dishes have quite a similar sweet-ish, reddish sauce, it’s never bad. The folks working are constantly hustling in a coordinated manner, and the place is quite clean. No time to dawdle in the line at Chan’s though, or you’ll be holding up the next customer. So while I’d love to notice a bigger difference between the flavors of some dishes, it’s hard to beat the convenience and speed of Chan’s.

The food is really good (we know it's possible to mess up Chinese takeout!). More importantly, they're POLITE! I've seen them deal with weird customers with a surprising amount of poise, and they always give a smile when I'm placing my order. They're nice when taking an order over the phone, too; the only bummer is that they don't deliver. There's also a very nice seating area if you're not taking it to go. And my favorite part is that the kitchen is wide open so you know they're honest about the cleanliness of their cooking. What's not to like!

Delicious Chinese spot. A hometown favorite for good reason. All our staples are delicious here: fried rice, lo mein, seasame, kung pao, scallian pancake. I will say the last time we ordered fried vegetarian dumplings and they were sooooo off- definetly not fried and they were very bready/doughy almost like buns? Skip those but otherwise you’ve got a whole menu to chose from!

I've always been a big fan of Chinese food, especially when i'm on the run and need something quick to eat. I tried mostly all the Chinese restaurants in the Dutchess county area and was never really happy with the quality and taste of the food. That all changed when Chan's opened up off of Raymond Avenue in Poughkeepsie. They not only have the traditional Chinese menu, but also have a great lunch menu as well as a specials menu with lots of tasty dishes on them. Considering the price of the lunch menu I never imagined i'd get such a big meal for under $6.00. The food doesn't have that mega greasy taste you get from most places and the fried rice is never overcooked and bright yellow like most other places. The General Tso's Chicken is absolutely delicious and the Dim Sum is AMAZING. Whether you wanna grab a quick lunch or sit down for dinner, Chan's is the place to go. The staff is friendly and professional, and dining in is comfortable and clean. I hope you enjoy Chan's as much as I do. Thanks guys for bringing great Chinese food to...

The best place for Chinese food in all of the Hudson Valley. They always make any dish you choose as if they were making it to eat themselves. A couple years ago there restaurant suffered from a tragic fire and they had to close because there was nothing left in the building. It burnt to ashes. Now after a couple of years have passed they have moved down the street to a new building to reopen the restaurant. They have incredible staff and they cook with love. They are also very welcoming and you see a lot of the same people coming here to eat along with new faces. I'm so happy they decided to reopen after the tragic loss of there old building. The owners know that the customers love them and the owners love them back. That's how you know this is an A+++ place to eat at. Especially since I've never heard of a restaurant suffer so much from so much of a loss and be able to come back from the ashes and rise to...

Terrible food. My friend and I went during COVID abt July 2020, my Shrimp Fried Rice was in no way shape or form any Fried Rice..it was soft and mushy like they had left the last step out in frying it in the Wok or w.e. it is they do. Last yr a friend went in for our Take Out, I only had bad soup Vegetable that looked like a certain yellow substance missing the vegetables like carrots, broccoli and scallions it was supposed to have in it. I'll also say that bc of "my friend's" race (Non-Cauc) I believe they are prejudice on top of their questionable food. I've gotten sick on their food several times! Idk what they're trying to prove but I will keep calling them out. No worries I will Never go back! Wasn't this the joint that had a fire down the street at their previous location on Ray ond near the Juliet circa 2009?? Then they reopened after a yr or more at their present...
