🌟A Culinary Gem in Poughkeepsie!🌟
If you're looking for a dining experience that will leave your taste buds singing, look no further than Meyer’s Olde Dutch in Poughkeepsie, NY! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly complemented the incredible food we were about to enjoy.
Let’s start with the star of the show: the New York State Special Burger. This burger is nothing short of a masterpiece. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to absolute perfection, every bite was a revelation. The combination of high-quality ingredients and expert preparation made it one of the best burgers we’ve ever had—and trust us, we’ve had a lot of burgers!
But the magic didn’t stop there. The Brussels sprouts were a revelation. Crispy, caramelized, and bursting with flavor, they were a far cry from the soggy, overcooked sprouts we’ve encountered elsewhere. These were so good, we could have made a meal out of them alone!
And then there were the Sweet Potato Wedges. Golden, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside, they were the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Paired with their house-made dipping sauce, they were absolutely addictive.
Every dish we tried was a testament to the care and creativity that goes into the food at Meyer’s Olde Dutch. The flavors were bold, the portions generous, and the quality undeniable. It’s clear that this place takes pride in what they do, and it shows in every bite.
We’re already planning our next visit—this is a place you’ll want to return to again and again. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Meyer’s Olde Dutch is a must-visit. Highly, highly...
Read moreFirst time we have tried this spot. Wanted to sit and have lunch with a coworker. We were a little confused upon entering, like do we seat ourselves or wait to be seated? No signs to indicate that. After not getting acknowledged we decided to seat ourselves. The menu was a QR code, which is usually okay with me. However, my coworker was having a hard time navigating it so we decided to go up to the register to order since we didn't see any servers around. We each ordered a single burger and a side of fries and then sat back down. Both of our orders came in to-go containers. Not a big deal, but I felt was wasteful on supplies and could've been avoided by asking us for here or to go. Not to mention they missed our drinks entirely, so we did have to ask for them again. We were a little disappointed in the price of the burger for its size. The flavor was great though, so that was redemptive. The fries , THE FRIESSSS!!!! So tasty and cooked to perfection, and the dipping sauce was mmm chefs kiss! I'd be open minded to coming back, but will probably try other sandwiches instead of the burgers. Or maybe just for those...
Read moreNice quiet neighborhood, adjacent to Vassar college campus.
Lots of parking.
I had a very simple bánh mì chicken sandwich.
Pickled vegetables were perfect, tasty, crunchy.
The chicken was really hot and incredibly perfectly fried, with an exceptional batter crust.
There was a great selection of beer. The serving staff were outrageously well informed.
I guess you can expect that next door to Vassar.
I was in the neighborhood for work, and my assignment went from something really simple that I could drag my dog along for to something that was ridiculously over the top.
So I needed to stop and eat and I didn't want to leave the dog in the car.
They were fine with the dog on the terrace. Here I will review my do: He was a very good boy.
There's a lot of seating, inside and outside.
It would have been a great place to work for a little while. M
The staff were knowledgeable prompt and really pleasant.
The bathrooms were really clean , the place was really clean . The menu is simple but good.
I gave four stars for the atmosphere just because it wasn't particularly amazing, but it was nice....
