Haven't been there in a while. The rice and pork was really salty. Really over priced had two small take out orders of rice with chickpeas and roasted pork .$34 mostly a lot of rice ,but the roasted pork rations were very small. Very disappointed I am not the only one that has been dissatisfied .Danny's on main st. Poughkeepsie is cheaper ,better and they serve more. They gave me a response that They thought I was wrong because small pork is $10. Regardless of price they are cheap with the ration of roasted pork I enclosed a picture. End of story you need to give customers more pork period! Plus their food just sits there even Vassar students go else where and with yuppie face lift of businesses no one is really eating at new nelly's or ordering take out food surprised they are still even open.I went to the Raymond ave location .Doesn't matter what location or price just give customers more meat instead of so much rice period! stop being so dam stingy with food that sits there for hrs. Also the rice was grainy and under cooked and salty as hell. Please go to Danny's on main street...

The food was delicious, the service was ok. The person behind the counter was attentive, but gave me the feeling like he wanted me to hurry up and order my food. He was friendly and he didn't rush me. He was sitting at a table when we came in, on his phone. And I think he wanted to go back to what he was watching on his phone, and he did when he finished taking our order. The place needs updating a fresh coat of paint or something. The other person there was washing the floors while we were eating and that was kinda like not good. I don't want to see or smell a dirty mop while I'm eating. The price seemed a little high for what we ordered. Normally a plate of food at a take out place for two, use to be under $25.00 -$40.00 so when he said $40.00. I had to look at the menu to make sure. The lunch prices were slightly less. But it was after 1:00 pm so he charged like it was dinner price. I wasn't bad. I just wasn't expecting to go to lunch with the helper and pay $40.00. I would recommend this place to people, but I will let them know it's not a average...
