Discrimination !!!! We had a family of 6 and a baby chair . The receptionist Ally gave a us a small table and told us we couldn’t put the baby chair on the side since it was a hazard and so asked us to squeez in 4 people to one side which was not possible since there was not much of the table for the 4th person to eat on . Then another waitress insisted on not being able to put the baby chair on the side/ middle and was making a issue and being hesitant of giving us a bigger table which WAS available !! But right in front of us was also a group of family who had a adult in the same spot where we would have the baby chair and was squeezed in around other chairs and was being served and when we showed how that is a hazard too but why are they allowed to do it the pixie hair lady told us “ oh we know 🤷♀️“ but did not do anything about it or ask them not to . Might I add my family is of brown skin color and the other family that was able to do what we normally would be able to at restaurants were white !!! We were beyond upset but still respectfully asked to be switched to another table with more room because they were told and knew we had a child so they should’ve seated us in a place which was able to sit a child seat with ROOM for everyone . We pay for our food and we should have been given a bigger table that didn’t have a “hazard” from the beginning instead of making a issue and telling us to squeeze in to sit and eat ! Also we saw the same waitress ally disrespect and give attitude to middle eastern family when they asked to get a table in the front and she had a rude face on and was very rushed and annoyed while the other family was being respectful . As a waitress it is her job to take in the customers favor of seating into consideration and be polite . She had told them “ oh no we don’t have room for you guys over there and the other section is closed” the man In that family had gone over to the place he wanted to sit and had told her there is room there which then she grabbed the utensils while rolling her eyes and brought them over to the place they liked to sit . It was very disgusting to see such racist discrimination . We are from new York and had come to lake George for vacation and are frequent loyal customers of Olive Garden and was VERY disappointed at this experience !!! Although our waitress Christina which was given to us after was very sweet and allowed us to have a good dining evening even though we were furious in the beginning ! She had made us feel happy to decide to stay and not leave after this discrimination . Please don’t let this...
Read moreMaybe it was just tonight experience but everything was all over the place. We came at a somewhat busy time, waited about 20 minutes for a table and when we were finally seated it was at least 10 more minutes until the host came back to ask us what we wanted to drink - no sign of the waiter yet. She took our drink order and then she and someone else brought us our drinks 10ish minutes later. We asked if we could order and she said okay, took the orders and the menus and left. Another 5-10 minutes go by and we finally meet the waiter, who then had to take our meal orders again because she didn't write them down correctly with the different meal deals that we're going on (it was the last day of their buy one take one deal). Luckily we had ordered an appetizer on the ziosk so we had that to hold us over for a little while longer. The food was great but after it came we didn't see the waiter again until we were trying to figure out the ziosk to pay with. No one came out during the meal to ask how things were or give us refills on our drinks. Before paying for the meal we ordered a dessert on the ziosk and then attempted paying. Someone from the kitchen I'm guessing came out to ask if we had placed said dessert order, which we had. Waiter comes out to see us finishing up paying for the food to tell us that all of our meals to go that came with what we ordered, were suddenly out of stock and we would have to wait longer for them to be prepared. He then tells us that the host seated tables for him in three different sections as a way to explain where he's been the entire time. We waited another 10 or so minutes after finishing the dessert to get our to go meals and then were on our way. I have no idea why it had to be so difficult for them to provide a decent dining experience. This was such a frustrating meal, and I hope Olive Garden isn't completely losing their touch, because while the food was great, the service was...
Read moreTypically we love olive garden. Many many visits at various locations. This particular olive garden not so great. The server we had was less than sub par. I was upset every other server seemed chipper and interactive. Ours was barely physically there! Told her it was my husbands birthday, blank stare. No cake or song... Not even a happy birthday. Just a vacant vessel. Food was semi fast, but she didn't check back in but once during the entire time we sat there. Check took so long. She packed the food in the containers poorly. I was honestly for the first time ever jealous of other tables for having better servers! The table next to me even bothered to ask all their names and addressed them as such. The table behind ours had s helpful and peppy server recommending advice and dishes. Our server just took note and left. Delivered drinks took my plate away AS I was asking for another bowl of salad, I clearly wasn't finished eating. She had a condescending tone when we told her the kids will be splitting a meal. Like it was the end of the world. My kids always share, not because I'm cheap, I just know how much they won't eat, why bother with two untouched meals? (To confirm, only the pepperoni and 2 bites if spaghetti were consumed by the kids all night. They had 2 bread sticks and that was it) our meal came to $50, didn't bother to ask further for dessert because I didn't want to waste 30 minutes waiting on it. I generally too 15% honestly felt she was worth only 5% if that. A crappy birthday dinner because of a stiff waitress. However, I've not had issues there before (only a hand full of visits in the last 2 years) and the food is always amazing!! The yes isn't usually the same sometimes it's a hit sometimes a miss. I wish I knew the name of the server evening shift (about 7pm on Tuesday) to avoid next time I visit. I'd still recommend this place if you don't mind the possibility of a...
