The issue is not with the waitress or the food, but with the overall experience. First off we had a decently sized party containing about 4 families, and stated we needed different checks for the groups. The WAITRESS was VERY PROFESSIONAL and was taking each groups order, keeping them separate. Throughout dinner the waitress made sure everyone was satisfied with their food, and their drinks. She was awesome. Now comes the reason for the one-star:
Midway through the waitress entering the divided bill, her manager came and told her to stop and put it all on one bill. The waitress was forced to add all of the items together and give our party one massive bill. After our party asked about this the manager came over and still stated that she would not split the check.
Now, each family (4 total) had the parents and between 1 to 2 children, with 2 individuals. The waitress when taking our order had 6 different sections for each group so she knew how to divide the bill. However, the MANAGER being INCONSIDERATE and RUDE did not like this happening and told or waitress to go against what was already established when we came in.
The following hour was taken up dividing the bill between our party, thanks to a manager not listening to the partons. This ruined a nice evening thanks to someone's flawed view of how to bill people. With 18 people taking up 18 seats longer then they have to will cost a business money if they're just sitting there, NOT ORDERING. How much money did Phil''s loose...
Read moreWe got 4 burgers...medium...they were cooked to perfection. The meat blend they use for their burgers is really tasty... like burgers should taste. I was surprised, but not really as Phil's enjoys a good reputation. However, they get only 4 stars for the way they handled the take out. I needed to order an extra salad so instead of placing it and the 4 little vials of dressing with the rest of the order inside the bag, they just threw it at me. I had to juggle them with the rest of the bags and the salad dressings spilled all over my car. The cole slaw was placed in the wrong container so it also leaked. Not cool Phil's...tell your very young staff to do things right. When I went to pay, the girl took my money,... said nothing... disappeared and returned about 7 minutes later with my change... way too long to wait for change. People inside seemed to be having a great time... for me, it was just a bad experience with the hostess/ take out girls. One thing that kept going thru my mind... this area really needs another full-service restaurant with a much-needed big...
Read moreFirst time trying this restaurant. Waiter John V J had an attitude. He was slow and could care less about any of his customers. Poor service!!! Food: my husband and I enjoyed our dinners. Silverware was another story old dirty and sticky this is what our waiter bought to us. Glasses were not clean. Dessert my husband had the rice pudding he thought was ok, my lemon meringue pie was a frozen pie which was old and bad the meringue fell off the pie and the lemon had cracks on the whole top. While trying to locate our waiter to have him bring me something else that took awhile. Had Ice cream. A table behind us was seated and waited for 10 minutes no one came over to take there order they walked out!!
