Ravaas Bagels — Restaurant in Town of Riverhead

The original counter woman who has been there since the new ownership took over is absolutely wonderful; she provides a warm greeting as you walk in and puts love into the food she prepares. However, my experience today was very disappointing. A young blonde was assisting me, and instead of a warm greeting, I was met with a loud 'hello, how are you?' from a brunette behind her. She took my order, but I had to clarify twice how I wanted my eggs cooked because she didn’t write it down the first time. I also had to remind her about my bagel order three times due to her getting distracted. The main reason I felt the need to write this review was the payment process. The blonde staff member quoted me three different prices before finally getting it right. I encourage you to pay attention to the dollar amounts they charge you and to question the pricing. My total changed from $18 to $12 after I questioned the individual costs of my items multiple times. I understand how tough a new job can be, but the easiest thing to do is to WRITE DOWN THE ORDER IN FULL. Additionally, here’s a tip: instead of having to shout out an egg sandwich order when there are only two other customers in the store, while you’re writing the order down, you can also GET THE CUSTOMER'S NAME!Writing down the order will also help when it comes time to ring it up! It prevents discrepancies and is another way to double-check the order without needing the customer to repeat themselves. I hope the new owners realize how foolish it is to skip out on this simple task that has been part of the service industry for ages.Please start writing...

When I first walked in- I noticed the shop was so clean and tidy. I was greeted with such kindness and care. This is a family owned business in our neighborhood and I am excited that they are here! My first meal was Lunch, a roast beef and cheese sandwich on a roll that was so fresh and so delicious…portions were perfect! Made me come back again later during the week for breakfast :) I Ordered my egg sandwich on a bagel , It was tasty , it was plentiful, and the coffee is great as well ! My recommendation is to get up ,get out , and get over there and see for yourself, you won’t be disappointed! It’s really important when we shop at our local area. I had such a wonderful experience at Rava’s Bagels in Wading River! The owners, Fatima and Hank, are incredibly kind and welcoming – they truly make you feel like family.

I ordered a turkey sandwich with Swiss cheese, lettuce, honey mustard, and mayo on a bagel, and it was on point – fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. Their iced tea was also fantastic, refreshing, and the perfect complement to my meal.

On top of the great food, the shop itself is spotless – super clean and inviting. You can tell they really care about both their food and their customers.
