Been coming here since attending SUNY Purchase in the late 80s, then living with my band The Pineapples in Port Chester in the early 90s. I used to eat here at least five times/week, and would do the same if I still lived close by. It's exactly the same, still run by the same family. A little dumpy, but who cares? It's got character for days. Everything is good, including the house-made salsa picante and black beans and rice: great flavor. The burritos are standout: they're made in the rarely-seen traditional Poblano way, small (two per order), with a single filling, not the overstuffed Mission style that everyone seems to do. My faves are chicken and bean (they use refried beans for filling). The magic really happens with their chilaquiles. They can be ordered Verdes or Rojas; rojos (red sauce) is my preference. I order this dish in every Mexican restaurant I go to, and no one does it like here: where everyone else does them in a very wet, vinegar-heavy sauce with no eggs used in the prep, Las Brisas mixes the tortillas in eggs and sauce (if there's vinegar can't taste it), cooks them in a pan, then tops with cheese and melts it under a broiler. They're exactly the right amount of moist, with crispy edges poking out around the edges (I order them crujiente: crispy). I love them so much, order them every time I go back. Definitely try them!

Unpretentious Mexican food, no TexMex. I recommend the tacos, enchiladas, and chilaquiles. The place is currently take away and cash only. Call ahead to order for best results. You can also order from the door once you get there.

Used to come here as a kid and going back brought many memories. Tortas were bomb like always. Since it’s small, whenever someone would walk in we would feel the cold air coming in. But other than that loved the tortas

I would start by saying that I was a firm believer of the reviews it contained on this platform. Wanted to give it a try & I did. The service was good, but the flatware was not clean. When given a fork from the waiter, I unwrapped the fork from the napkin & to my belief- the fork was greasy & contained a rice grain from someone who previously had a meal. This total not to health regulations for food consumption. The price was super friendly but the food was very gross. It was an abomination of a bunch of cream & lettuce added to the simple authentic mexican food. As said, price was great but food wasn't good at all. Like said, you pay for what you get. If you are looking for an inexpensive with dirty eating utensils, this is the place to visit but if you are looking for authentic mexican food. This is not...

Like their breakfast options. Would go everyday if just wake up early. It is pretty busy in the morning so just don't expect to leave fast with your order. Give yourself some time and them to make it. Anyway Aleman is my pick for about 6

Giving a new rating after repeating multiple delay experiences.

Cant rely on calling in advance and expect the order to be ready on time when you arrive to pick up. Its disorganized and loses orders. Tried giving name to avoid mixing names. But they take orders without names and wont have ready when you arrive. They start it...
