D'Elia's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Town of Saugerties

Danielle and her staff do a great job. By far the best reasonable food in Saugerties.

As a business owner in the construction industry who doesn’t excel at packing a lunch, working with a crew of guys who also neglect to do so as well, we find ourselves sending a member of the crew nearly daily to Delia’s, as we’ve done for the last 3 years. We’ve yet to tire of the many, many possibilities, even though many of us go on months long (maybe year long) repetitions of the same item. From our buffalo chicken phase, to our chicken Caesar wrap phase, to our current favorite, burger w/ blue cheese & bacon. I frequently have Delia’s for both lunch & dinner.

Would especially recommend their chicken Caesar salad and wrap. Good burgers, great curly fries, proper fried dough, mozzarella sticks and jalapeño poppers. Buffalo chicken anything is another high point. Their pizza is the best in the area, with a bang up chicken bacon ranch, Hawaiian and Sicilian. With a broad menu of delicious options, it’s the Swiss Army knife of places to order from and never disappoints. Even the desert options are terrific. Service and delivery are polite and prompt.

We placed an order through DoorDash and upon realizing that we were missing three items, I tried contacting the restaurant and couldn’t get an answer (just a recording saying they were unavailable). I then contacted DoorDash to tell them what occurred. I tried the restaurant again and on my third attempt the call was answered by a young female that sounded very busy and told me she was unable to tell me anything about my order and to contact DoorDash. I then contacted my DoorDash driver and he specifically told me those were the only items the restaurant had waiting for me and apologized. I understand DoorDash is a service, but it doesn’t exempt the responsibility of the restaurant to prepare proper orders, and moreover, be available for contact if necessary. The ingredients are cheap and it shows. The pizza taste more like Mac and cheese with ketchup on it. Also, I don't care how much bay leaf they jam into the sauce, it's still too sweet. Expect to pay nearly 14% more than advertised if you plan on paying with a credit or debit card, as an additional 3.99% fee is assessed when using anything but cash. Combine that with the local tax and you are really getting hammered with fees. The interior is poorly designed, a confusing mix between a served dining room and a food court. Ordered 1 large cheese pizza, fried mushrooms, and chicken parm sandwich. Pizza was served directly on a cardboard box with no parchment paper.
