we don’t live in the area, but stopped by this restaurant today while we were visiting. We can’t comment on the food since we never actually got any… When you enter, there is no clear indication as to where you should order. There is a sign telling you where to pick your order up, but that’s not very helpful when you haven’t yet placed an order. There were quite a few people standing around and one girl working behind the counter. At the other end of the counter were a few men standing around, but none of them appeared to be handling the crowd towards the front of the restaurant, only the back area where there was seating. Unsure of where we should go we simply stood near the register where the girl was working. Several other people came in behind us, all also just standing around. After about 10 minutes, a man came up to the counter and asked who’s next? Despite the fact that we had been there for quite some time, a kid that was leaning on the counter, just started placing his order. No one batted an eye, and they just kept going. One of the gentleman that came in behind me and I looked at each other and just figured we’d let it go until a second person came to take orders and it happened again. There are plenty of Italian restaurants on Long Island. I could throw a rock and probably hit several just from the front of this restaurant. No matter how good Food may be somewhere, the service is going to be the deciding factor as to whether or not, I return And I definitely will never be returning to even see if the pizza here is that good. What a...
Read moreTerrible delivery service! I ordered food for my family at 5:15pm the other night and they said 45 minutes. After an hour I called to see what was going on and was told my food was out for delivery. After another 20 minutes I called again and I was told I must be at the end of several deliveries even though my house is less than 4 minutes away. The driver showed up with a bill he changed from 43$ to 48$ when I confronted him about it he went to his car and said he was calling the restaurant to find out. While he was heading to his car I noticed some of my food was missing (it was also cold), and called the restaurant myself, and at the same time went to get him he was in his car but wasn’t calling the restaurant. Once the total was cleared up I gave him a 50$ bill and asked for five back because of the poor service he didn’t even apologize for forgetting some of our food and demanded I give him a bigger tip and that he would get the missing food. But because he was angry and irate I didn’t want him back at my house. The manager did however make right the situation but I had to go there to get my sons food and my refund. My suggestion never ask...
Read moreThe food and wines were incredible here! Probably one of the best pasta places I have been to till date. We arrived last night almost 15th a before their closing time. We were greeted well and were not rushed the entire time, which was great! While placing order, they served us some bread, garlic knots and butter (not great quality since the bread and knots were very hard). We started with some zucchini fries (very tasty, would appreciate if they were less oily). The marinara sauce served with the zucchini was very tasty and adequately flavored. They had options of ordering half plate pasta - which is a GREAT thing to do considering that way you can control your portions and sample more items. We ordered some Alfredo fettuccine (good), penne bolognese (tasty), penne Gamberi (loved it, so flavorful). The merlot and the dessert wine were good. The chocolate cheesecake was very good, not unnecessarily thick, appropriately sweet. Price wise it is moderate to towards high, ambience is decent. Overall I would have rated this place a 4 but the taste of the food made it a 5. Would love to try more of their...
