We went to Devitos in Kenmore to celebrate my mom’s birthday and had a reservation. When we arrived, there were only high-top tables available, which wasn’t ideal for us. We ended up waiting close to 45 minutes to be seated at a lower, more comfortable table due to a birthday party being held in their private dining room.
That said, the hostess went above and beyond to make up for the inconvenience. She was incredibly apologetic and even offered us complimentary cocktails, which we really appreciated.
Once we were seated, the experience improved significantly. The food was good and came out quickly and the portion sizes were very generous.
My only point of confusion was with the signage. The outside still says Fanara’s, which was the previous restaurant in that location. There’s no mention of Devitos on the door only on the menus. Because of this, we drove past it initially, and while we waited outside, we noticed other people seemed confused as well. It would make a big difference if there was at least a temporary sign or decal that clearly said “Devito's.”
Overall, we had a nice meal and excellent service. You could tell the staff really cared and wanted us to have an...
Read moreLast night, we had the pleasure of dining at Divito's Restaurant, and from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we were treated with genuine warmth and exceptional service.
To start, we ordered the Arancini, Calamari, and banana peppers. All three were delicious, but the Arancini and Calamari stood out, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared.
For my entrée, I chose the Vodka Cutlet with pasta. The portion was generous: a tender, breaded chicken cutlet topped with melted cheese and rich alla vodka sauce. It was absolutely delicious, and the pasta was cooked to perfection.
My wife ordered the Shrimp Fra Diavolo with pasta. She graciously let me try a bite, and it was outstanding, bold, spicy, and full of flavor. Our son went with the steak sandwich and fries, which looked amazing and, according to him, tasted just as good.
After dinner, we enjoyed a few cocktails at the bar and, once again, experienced top-notch hospitality. The staff made us feel right at home throughout the entire evening.
Divito's is now officially our new favorite Italian restaurant in the Western New York area. We’ll...
Read moreReturned for our second visit (because the first one was great). I had the fish fry. Beer battered. Cod versus the more typical haddock. I ate every crumb. Perfectly cooked. Crispy not too thick batter, tender flaky fish. Nice size. Good coleslaw (and im always amazed at how many places have subpar coleslaw). Good mac salad. The star side was the fries. Best around and lots of them. And the foccacia bread (which im told will be used for steak sandwices) was homemade and outstanding. My wifes chicken milanese was awesome as were the fingerling potatoes accompanying it. They have her favorite wine by the glass and the bartender understands what a tall single shot jack and ginger is. Whenever i order it at other places (not all but a lot of bars/restaurants) i get 3/4 jack and 1/4 flat gingerale. Not what i want. The waitress was ok. Maybe a bit overwhelmed. The slack though was taken up by the steller host. A young man who makes sure your dining experience matches the great food. Well done. Highly suggest. We will...
