BIG ZUES Barbecue (Endwell) — Restaurant in Town of Union

Tried the fried chicken and banana pudding on my third visit to Big Zues. The fried chicken was perfectly cooked and had a nice taste, crispy skin. And it had a tasty seasoning. The banana pudding had nice taste. Tonight was my second trip to Big Zues. I ordered the Smoke Turkey meal with corn bread, salt potatoes, and fried okra. The cornbread had a wonderful taste. The smoked turkey was cooked perfectly, fork tender, and had a great taste. It was also the first time I had fried okra. It had a great taste. The smoked turkey quesadilla was delicious, and the sauce that came with it was good. Today was the first time I've tried Big Zues barbecue. I ordered the burnt ends sandwich and the Mac and cheese. The burnt ends sandwich with house made barbecue sauce had a nice flavor and cooked perfectly. I would put it on a sub roll rather than a potato roll. The Mac and cheese was creamy with a good taste. They have many items I look forward to trying. I like what they did with the interior of the place, it seems like there is more room inside than the previous occupant. Good food I will...

This is a new BBQ place in Endwell NY. I am giving this review low marks for multiple reasons. First, I placed an on line pick up order, I arrived when it should be ready and then had to wait over a half hour past the agreed time. Next the food. Since this is a new place I decided to try a sampling of their menu. Three meats and four sides. The pulled pork was terrible, very little pulled pork mainly chunks of fatty meat. No BBQ sauce and was not told to pick up any before I left. Next the spare ribs, so fatty couldn't even eat them. Next the brisket, okay but very well done and leathery. The smoked turkey was pretty good. Next the sides, onion rings were soaked in grease and soggy. The collard greens were okay until I found a bone in the dish, yuck! The tater tots and Mac and cheese was pretty good. But overall I was not impressed. Maybe because just opened and haven't gotten all the bugs out yet. But I was very disappointed and will not be going back...

We have enjoyed Big Zues Barbecue in Binghamton for a while since being introduced at Trucks on the Tracks. So genuinely excited that the new location is much closer to us! That being said, I ordered the 3 meats/3 sides today on my way home. The staff were friendly and the wait was minimal. The brisket was perfectly tender, good smoke ring and flavor! The fried chicken that I asked for extra crispy was cooked to my liking, thank you. The breading is light, which is great! The flavor was good and the portion seemed fair. Unfortunately the burnt ends were not what I’m used to at the other location or at home. Very tough, to the point I couldn’t chew most of it. The French fries have flavorful seasoning and are cooked perfectly. Corn bread to top it off...
