Marco's Pizza (Middletown) — Restaurant in Town of Wallkill

I've been coming here for years and with the occasional exception food has been great. I even order it for staff meetings. The other day I walked in and ordered the chicken blt salad and asked to substitute grilled chicken. No problem, they said. I got back to my office ready to eat lunch, opened the bag, and discovered the fried, breaded chicken that I can't eat. I had to throw away the chicken but had the rest of the salad. I called Marco's right away to let them know what happened. I went back today and told the owner or perhaps one of the owners what happened. He cheerfully told me they'd be sure to get it right this time. When I went up to order and pay he was standing there and the girl at the counter gave me the full price total. I asked him why he wouldn't discount the purchase since I had to throw the last chicken out. He asked me for my phone number, looked it up and shook his head telling me I hadn't ordered that item. He was telling me I made the whole thing up, that I lied! I told him I walked in, that I hadn't called it in so he wouldn't have it under my phone number. The whole time he was shaking his head 'No'. How many ways was this a horrible experience. Every way. I walked in and after looking at the slices available I decided on a meat lovers stuffed slice and a cheesesteak stuffed slice. I asked about a chicken bacon ranch slice but upon seeing it I knew it was not what I wanted at all. The stuffed meat lover slice wasn't awful but it was nowhere near good. The stuffed cheesesteak slice was absolutely disgusting. WAY too much cheese!!! Then when opened I saw barely any steak and a mountain of mushrooms and peppers. Also to my absolute horror he had thrown in a slice of the chicken bacon ranch which smelled horrific and tasted spoiled. I would never recommend this place. The only positive they have from me is the sauce was ok. Even the side of ranch I paid for was nasty. I'm not sure if they have a refrigerator issue or if they just never date there sauces. Either way that should not be served to the public. I give it "0" STARS. Worst pizza...

I ordered 2 plain Sicilian slices of pizza through Door Dash. I received an email telling me that they had no more plain Sicilian slices and that they were substituting it with sausage slices. I had checked off that it was okay to substitute when an item wasn’t available but I don’t eat sausage on pizza. I didn’t mind that there was a substitution but they should have found a way to either let me tell them I do not eat sausage or tell them to give me 2 plain slices instead. When the meal was delivered I opened the box and there were 2 regular soggy limp slices with sausage on them that looked and tasted like they were made last week. I realize I could just take the sausage off the slices, which I ended up doing, but that’s beside the point. I’ve ordered from Marco’s before and never had this much of an issue.
