Owning a restaurant is a hard business. Approximately 59% of restaurants fail within the first three years. So to have a successful restaurant business, you have to stand out and attract customers.
Mix n Mac does just that.
Mix n Mac is the only place in the Middletown area that you can go to if you want GOOD macaroni and cheese. A restaurant like this is one for the books, and this place can last for a very long time.
The mac is positively fantastic. My taste buds die and go to heaven every time I visit this place, and if I am taking it to go, I get anxious as I drive wherever I am going because I cannot wait to dig in to the food.
The prices are not as cheap as one may wish, but you get a good amount of food to truly fill you up. You might not be able to actually finish it and you will have to save it (but who doesn't love leftovers, right?)
They have so many different varieties, it is always hard to pick and choose what you want. You will often find yourself staring, mouth agape at the long list of choices on the wall behind the register.
The place is simply perfect. It's the one place I am going to miss in Middletown when I move to Los Angeles.

Read moreThe owners at Mix N MAC in Middletown New York have truly created something special with the mix of comfort food, and well, almost anything else you can think of. I've had the pleasure of trying numerous dishes and they are all delicious.
Though seating is limited, I was able to find a place to sit and eat each time I’ve gone. With the mix in and ingredients being fresh though, my wait time when picking up has always between about 7-10 minutes. I’ve brought home three of their macaroni and cheeses here recently, the American (classic), the SHB (sriracha, honey sauce and bacon) and the Chicken Bacon Ranch. My family loves them and they were promptly devoured.
I’ve also tried and loved all three types of their fried Mac Balls, standard, saucy and smothered, all were just too easy going down! They also make salads, both green and a noodle salad on a bed of lettuce. Did I mention desserts? They carry everything from a churro and smores based creations, to seasonal rice puddings.
The staff is very friendly and I personal cannot wait until they open their second location in Dutchess...
Read moreI’ve heard really good things about this chain so once we were in the neighborhood I was very excited to try it! I ordered buffalo chicken Mac n cheese and my husband ordered chicken and waffles. The food looked and smelled fine once we were home, I just honestly wasn’t a fan it was very heavy and didn’t eat much past two bites. My husband on the other hand had a few bites of my buffalo chicken and half the tray of his. Subsequently 30 min later: he was violently Ill in the bathroom all evening. I called this facility to let them know what happened the next day in hopes that no one else get sick, & was told this never happens and they sold plenty of dishes that day and everyone was fine. I was just trying to put the word out that not everyone was fine from their food and obviously there has to be some kind of containment. They offered me two new meals which I obviously declined & I suggested that I would accept a refund which they declined to give me. Not my business but not a good look to deny any and all liability and not even offer a refund of services on a good...
