What can I say about the Middletown Pizz Hut other than it was one of the worst dining experiences ever. I should have taken the hint when the customer in front of me at the register turned to me in frustration and said "Ordering at this place is worse than giving childbirth." My wife, kids and I dropped by Pizza Hut in Middletown on the way to my wife's doctor's appointment. Took me about a minute to figure out what the lady customer ahead of me had meant, once it was my turn to order. The guy at the register was clueless at his job. He ended up (I learned later) charging me literally 2X what I should have paid, handed me two pies with uncooked dough, refused to issue a refund but instead got on FaceTime with his manager (who was at her day job) to have her walk him through issuing a credit, finally issued a credit but only for less than half what I'd paid, realized his error and finally, with his manager still on FaceTime, was rewalked through another credit issuance. I left with my kids having eaten nothing all day, my money held hostage and arrived to my wife's doctor's appointment late. From the doctor's office, I tried in vain to reason over the phone with the guy who'd screwed up our day, but all he could do was FaceTime his manager and say to me they couldn't refund but credit me to eat at another Pizza Hut nearer to my home. Reluctantly, I chose Newburgh Pizza Hut. Two weeks later I checked with the Pizza Hut closer to where we live (Newburgh) to see if the Middletown manager had transferred our credit over. Nope. Middletown had done nothing. Newburgh had to phone Middletown to get it expedited. (By the way, a call to Pizza Hut corporate referred me to online, where I wrote them and never received a reply). What a shocking difference when my family and I went to Newburgh Pizza Hut to redeem our credit. Courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, etc. However, when I finished ordering the IDENTICAL thing at Newburgh that I'd ordered from Middletown, it came to only half the price that numbskull in Middletown had charged me. Apparently, Middletown had way overcharged me for the raw pizza they served that they refused to give me a refund for, leaving my kids starving and making us late for a doctor's appointment. Way to go, Pizza...
Read moreI have had multiple technical issues with their mobile app and website when trying to place an order. Typically Iâm able to work past those glitches and process my order successfully. I wholeheartedly believe when I placed my most recent order via their mobile app yesterday, the glitches I was experiencing caused an issue with my order. When I called the store they werenât accommodating, and when I contacted the DoorDash driver to inquire if perhaps part of my order was still in his vehicle he was incredibly rude and insinuated that I was illiterate and lying in an effort to get free food.
When I called DoorDash to report their Dasherâs behavior I was told the only thing they could do is complete an Incident Report and have it sent to the driver. There wasnât anything further in terms of compensation that they could do because I did not order directly through DoorDash.
Moral of the story is: if youâre wanting Pizza Hut itâs possibly better to either order directly with them over the phone or in person because clearly their mobile app and website need updating. Or order through DoorDash that way if there is an issue DoorDash will be able to rectify...
Read moreAfter eating in this establishment I can promise you I will never eat at another pizza hut the service was horrendous and it wasn't the waiters fault at all....He was a sweet kid but considering he was the waiter, the busser, the kitchen prep, the cashier, doing take outs, being the manager slave while she did absolutely nothing so he couldn't give appropriate service...But she made sure to give her child that was lounging in the booth appropriate service...I'm sorry but your child shouldn't be sitting in a booth if you can't even do your job as it is.....Then no hello or anything from manager just are you eating here? We say yes and she tells us well you need to give me a minute so we waited 5 min to be seated then 20 min to get drinks and that's because we went to counter to ask if anyone was coming to the table or we were leaving....Again it wasn't the servers fault it's the lack of management....Then when we were leaving our server was apologetic for the poor service while the manager was in the back corner having a personal phone call about someone texting her....On company phone may I add.....Absolutely...
