Wonderful service and even more delicious food! I've eaten here and picked-up take out a few times and keep going back. I highly recommend both. The dish selection is fantastic and the lunch menu comes with soup! A pita bread basket was served right away when I ate here and very good. From the Lunch Special, I had the Lamb Shish with rice and salad. I chose the lentil soup and really enjoyed it it all. Even had some grilled cubed lamb and rice left over to take home. The Falafel was exciting to discover that it tastes just like the kind you can get in NYC. Crunchy on the outside with the inside still soft and flavorful. Don't even miss the tzatziki if you forget to dip (the tzatziki is very good as well). I highly recommend trying the apps! Kibbeh (Stuffed Meatball) is great to share and is very tasty (new favorite). The fried Calamari is nice and crunchy plus the outside does not fall off after taking a bite. From the regular menu, I will absolutely order the Mediterranean Branzino again. The fish came grilled and whole with salad. Ask for a spoon so you can de-bone the fish before eating it. It's hard to resist but it's much easier to eat without the bones (watch a video on how to do it; I was super happy that I did). The skin on the Branzino was crispy in the expected places and the meat was very tender and cooked perfectly. Love this dish! Also, my kids really gushed over the chicken nuggets and said it was the best they ever had! We tried Sutlac for the first time after asking for a recommendation for dessert. The warm rice pudding came in a small clay pot with a dash of cinnamon, also surprisingly good and I managed to have most it even though we were sharing! I also need to mention the baklava, great to share and sometimes might have one left over because everyone is full and happy to try to be the one to eat it tomorrow. We have been going back and will be ordering here again. Try it you will not be...
Read moreMy husband recommended Sara's after eating lunch there more than once, and I tried it for dinner this evening for the first time. Our meal was a delight from start to finish. The man who served us could not have been nicer and offered us our pick of seats, even inviting us to take a table for four. I sat on a banquette with a pillow behind my back, and the chair my husband occupied was roomy enough to be comfortable. Every course was fresh and delicious, beginning with warm pita triangles served with dollops of yogurt, cubed beets and pureed avocados alongside homemade hummus. My husband chose the lamb kebabs, I chose the chicken, and both were plump and juicy. Each came with a mound of rice, tender bites of spiced potatoes, and a generous helping of crispy carrots and green beans. The tzatziki was a pleasantly tangy accompaniment. We sampled the house-made mint lemonade, which was refreshing and fizzy, and ended the meal by sharing a poached pear with a scoop of premium vanilla ice cream over raspberry sauce. Even our tea was just right. As we ate, we enjoyed the soothing music and seaside vistas hung about the room, which was decorated appropriately in Mediterranean blue. On a dreary December night, Sara's provided a first-rate meal and warm Middle Eastern hospitality. We will...
Read moreVisited Sara’s on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch with my family and found it to be a true gem. The restaurant is clean and inviting, with a serene interior and very comfortable seating. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was amazing, yet, we were the only ones dining there aside from one takeout order. We couldn’t figure out why! If you have been considering eating here but haven’t yet, DO IT! For lunch they offer a lunch special: app/main combo menu with soups, salads, dips, bowls, wraps, and skewers(with rice). They will bring you a basket of warm soft pitas to have with your apps. Our table ordered apps: lentil soup, chicken vegetable soup, and beet& goat cheese salad. The plating is beautiful and the flavors were complex and delicious. I especially enjoyed my chicken vegetable soup which was full of finely shredded chicken vegetables and herbs. It tasted very nourishing. Our mains were chicken skewers(pictured), falafel platter, and a falafel bowl(pictured). Everything came with tzatziki and hummus. The plates were large and we all had leftovers because they give you plenty of food, and I’ll mention for a 3rd time that it was all just delicious. Definitely worth a visit and I think if you try it once you’ll be a...
