🎮+🍔=The Jukebox Diner reinvented! (A very specific review for a very specific audience):
Okay...so today, on the eve of my 48th bday, I visited this place (with my 9yo daughter) for the 1st time...
...having only "received all but 2-3 pictures from Mommy" for context, I became aware that this treasure in Dutchess County NY even existed...
(HUGE SHOUTOUT to Stepdad Carl's super watchful eye for even discovering this absolute GEM!)
...especially considering that upon even our visit today, they'd only been in biz 6 days!
That said, I'd like to also appeal to beyond the the casual viewer that would see our 5-star rating and just go there "off the strength of the reviews"...
...We now speak to any potential investors and/or Marcus Lemonis' types that may be scraping these reviews [for potential deal flow] in search of "an investable proposition"...
...bcuz I mean, I would come here for the FOOD ALONE -which is of STELLAR and IRREPROACHABLE Execution by itself!
(literally everything on theyy menu don't miss y'all...do NOT let the [deliberate] "simplicity of their menu" fool you!!!!
Seriously, it must be very difficult (not to mention an executional nightmare smh) to pull off the appeal of a seemingly "simple menu" with such precious precision and attention to detail -in order to consistently overdelight the customers with an incredible culinary experience.💯
(Whatever you order from their menu, it absolutely delivers as promised and if you "don't like it" -it's highly likely that you decided to "try something new" and that THAT particular fare wasn't within the wheelhouse of your particular flavor pallette.)
Thaaat said, these guys should absolutely be on "Shark Tank" as an investable proposition!
(I happen to think Mark Cuban's team has -not only the infrastructure, -but also the acumen to understand the [super duper culinarily overdelivering aspects and unique complexities of your business model] AND also has the team in place to navigate the potential licensing nuances associated with the endeavor!
(oh yeah, & they got video games for daayyys too y'all!)
You guys Rock and this spot is superduper DadApproved!!!! (pleeease save us a spot when y'all blowwup!)🙏🏻👊
Thank you. Future VIP...
Read moreNot sure how long this place has been around but we just noticed it and decided to take my son here for his birthday. There were so many options on the menu it was a tough decision to pick. It seems to be a halal place mixed with American fair. They had items like chicken or lamb over rice but also had like burgers, chicken tender, fries and many other things. The place is kind of small so minimal season. Each table is bar style height with only 4 chairs per table. So if you have a big group I’m not sure this would be the best place. But you could always ask before hand and see what they say.
The food was fresh and tasty. The service was great they were patient and answered any questions we had about the menu. Is it fine dining? No. But as I said everything was fresh and it’s a good treat especially it’s food all kids are satisfied eating. The only thing I wish is they had a different bun selection. They had like brioche buns which are so thick especially for kids. A nice martins or any type of potato buns go best with smash burgers. I feel like brioche is just a big filler that’s not needed for a good burger. The employee did come to check on us which is nice.
As for the games it’s older games and even though my kids are young and play all these new crazy graphic games they didn’t complain. It kept them busy as we waited for the food. They sipped on their cookies and cream shakes which were also a hit.
We will definitely...
Read moreKinda confused how they have a 4.9 star rating. The food is bad, the atmosphere is bad, and the service is meh. Let's be honest you're getting food cause you're high. If that's it then sure go for it. But it sits like a brick and they don't give you free cups of water. It's like they're telling you to leave without telling you to leave. If your value added is that you get to sit, eat, AND play videogames then make it hospitable to actually sit and eat. This place could be 4 or even 5 stars if they made water free, maybe moved the tables a bit so you're not stuck next to the kitchen, and made the doors not a push pull push situation.
Also look at this toilet.
Edit: It was constructive criticism. If you gave people water they might stay longer and spend more money on food. If you're a business that has a sit down game area you want people to sit inside as long as possible spending money on your products. Each hindrance is a chance for a customer to leave. For instance an older person having an issue with a door could get frustrated and leave. A teen who doesn't wanna spend $5 for a cup of water might get frustrated and leave. Honestly I really have no large issue with your restaurant. But you could do a small thing to make it better. If you didn't take it as constructive then fine. I just didn't like the food and that's fine too. The same way you didn't...
